SCHOOLS IN ALLAHABAD A scenario which could be out of a Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikander kind of script involves the schools in Allahabad--SMC, SJC, BHS, GHS, SAC, and now a lot many more... with their own unique equations, combinations and permutations. The school fests, the constant upmanship, board marks competitions, the flirtations, the link-ups (not even sparing nuns and priests :p ) and unity for worthy and not-so-worthy causes. A place which was haunted by school students in my time was Hot Stuff in Civil Lines. A very happening place in the 1990s, it was where the movers and shakers of all the schools could be found in all their non-school hours. News travelled faster than lightening and anybody above 25 was debarred from the upper floor. Its tables have witnessed more proposals and break-ups than any other roofed place in town and it has more me and my group of friends memories than any party hall (other than El Chico party hall of course) in town. I tasted my first slush there and it has many of my growing-up and coming-of-age remembrances attached to it. Does anybody have any photos to share? Im sharing pictures of my Alma Mater: SMC
