SCHOOLS WEATHER UPDATE: School district personnel confirm that schools will dismiss at the regular time this afternoon and buses will be running - however, they want parents to expect delays as those buses will be traveling much slower than usual due to road conditions. Fairbanks International Airport officials have just announced that the main runway there has re-opened, but the general aviation runway remains closed until further notice. State road crews are working throughout the borough to gravel roads and re-establish traction, but it goes without saying that motorists should exercise extreme caution when driving.
