SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY NEWS The Biggest Solar Power Ship Turanor Planet Solar characteristic MS Turanor Planet Solar, the ship with the solar power which was the biggest in the world, just completed science journey after anchored in London a week ago. MS Turanor Planet Solar was designed by Craig Loomes who originally come from New Zealand after 1 month researched to invent optimal dimension and double changing. Name of Turanor was taken from myth literature JRR Tolkie that meant Solar Power. Researchers and designers of this ship then optimallized energy sources and restore also aerodynamic ship, propulsion system and selective element of the ship so the result was Sun Solar Ship which had carbon structure which was good environment. This luxury ship which good environment started its mission to across Atlantc Ocean on last August. Long journey 22 days by this ship could break the record made beginning of this year on the way from Las Palmas, Canary Islands to Saint Martin in Carribean. The period using of this ship quicker rather than usual ship which taken 35 days on the same route. This ship was designed with light solar carbon cell diameter of 512 m2 and had 809 solar panel. As much of this solar panel could make 48 kWH when the sun was shining. This planet solar had length around 35 m and width of 23 m. The measurement of this ship depend on whether solar panel in condition open or closed. If it was on the position of anchored, the middle of the ship had rough surfaces on the journey at average velocity 5 knot with 12 m2 panel fotovoltaik for ion lithium battery power. This battery was so light, but long time and on the stay position with sero of fuel need and carbon division zero, this ship could sail at the ocean for monthly on one time if the sun always shining. Mission of deep water witPlanet Solar, lead by Prof. Martin Beniston, Climatology Eexperts and Director from University of Geneve (UNIGE). Under Benisiton, team research studied key parameter from climate management which focus on Aerosol and fitoplankton.
