SCMS is sending Juan and me to Mozambique to help plan for a voluntary medical male circumcision program. Juan and I received our Visas yesterday. This will be my first trip to Mozambique, and I have heard that it is a very nice place to visit. We will be going to two provinces as well as the capital, Maputo. Juan is a mechanical engineer experienced in procuring the necessary supplies as well as planning project charters, a document to define roles and responsibilities for a project involving several partners. I have years of experience as an environmental engineer and waste manager, and I will be planning for the disposal of medical waste. I hope to post additional notes during our trip.
