SCMS making a difference with warehouses! Since October 2012, SCMS has been working and supporting CAMEBU in Burundi, to improve its warehousing facilities and infrastructure. In March 2014, SCMS installed 1,836 pallet spaces with labelled bin locations. In addition, SCMS is procuring material handling equipment that will be delivered late in April 2014. The racking and material handling equipment will improve operational efficiency and promote good warehousing practices. CAMEBU will be able to complete full transfer and correct stacking of products from leased temporary warehouses to these two new permanent warehouses and implement updated warehouse and distribution SOPs to optimize operations.
