SCREEEAAMMING WITH JOY! We saw our pulmonologist today and she explained that Ethans high resolution CT scan of his lungs showed great improvement and they look normal!! She believes that his asthma is mild...which we can control. The vocal cord dysfunction with therapy and possible other treatments will improve over time. Once again coming back to.. like our primary doctor thinks that the reflux...which can be fixed by the fundoplication surgery...will help solve his low immunity and his constant bronchitis infections. This is the shortest version of the news that I can give you, but basically she says this Aero Digestive team in Cincinnati will be perfect on solving this puzzle with Ethan and can give us answers and treatments to solve some of this problems we have been battling the past 2 years. She also does not think he has ciliary dyskensia...but the bronchoscopy will rule all of this out the end of August. Ethan has been well almost every day this summer and it is an amazing blessing to see your child being able to run and play and do what he loves! She said in like 2 or 3 years, he will grow and become stronger and the muscles become stronger and just over all improve and this will be like a bad dream! Thank you God for answering my prayers....feeling a lot more at ease and confident about our next round of test in Cincinnati, Aug. 27th! I just wanted to scream this happiness to everyone I can...and just hope it all stays positive from here on out! Thanks my family and friends for support! When Ethan has one of his attacks and turns white and blue and cant breathe and we have to be there to calmly get him out of the attack...or I have spent endless days in the house with a coughing child, that walks up the steps and appears to not be able to breathe...our family and friends ask how do you do it? I want you all to know, I think about all the support, hugs, calls and texts with so much love and prayers...makes me know in my heart that he will be ok. The community that surrounds us means the world to me!
