SCREENPLAY COMPETITION in Washington, D.C.: We are currently accepting headshots and resumes of actors for the live table reading on Friday, September 27, 2013. A live audition will be scheduled for an open audition on September 27 @10:00am at the Atlas Performing Arts Center. At the end of the auditions, the scripts will be cast, and rehearsals will begin immediately. It is a crazy day that ends with a live table reading before an audience — and the selection of an overall winner. Location: 1333 H Street NE Building: Atlas Performing Arts Center Please review the CHARACTER DESCRIPTIONS below. Then follow these directions: 1. If you wish to be considered for a role, please mail or email a headshot and resume. IF YOU WISH TO EMAIL A HEADSHOT… • Email to [email protected] • Images larger than 300MB will automatically be deleted from the system • In the subject, include name of script and desired role, ie: “TITLE OF SCRIPT: Role of Character” • One email/headshot per script. If you wish to be considered for multiple scripts, one email for each is required. • No headshots will be accepted after MON. SEPTEMBER 2 • Headshots which arrive that do not follow these instructions will be deleted. 2. Actors will be called by each writer and scheduled for a LIVE AUDITION on Friday, September 27 at 10:00am at the Atlas Performing Arts Center. 3. Actors will be selected after the auditions, and will immediately rehearse the scripts until 2:00pm. 4. The scripts will be performed that evening at a public event at 7:00pm. 5.
