SCRIPTURE: 2 Chronicles 7:14 King James Version (KJV) 14 If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land. Please read and meditate on it. It is a new day that the Lord has given us to live. It is out of His mercy that we are alive today. Let us worship Him and thank Him for the gift of life. By His unfailing grace let us come together to hear his voice from the word of God for it is Devotional Time. For sometime now we have looked at the godly man, what he does not do, what he does and what he is and the blessings that are his because he chose to walk on the narrow way. We find these in Psalm 1:1-3 We will now consider the ungodly man. Psalm 1:4 gives a sharp contrast between the godly and the ungodly man. This distinction should cause you to make an honest evaluation of yourself-which way have you chosen? Whereas the godly is likened to a tree planted by the rivers of water that brings forth fruits in abundance, we are told in verse 4 The ungodly are not so. This means all the positive things said about the godly are not applicable to ungodly. In simple terms the ungodly are not blessed like the godly. The ungodly is likened to the CHAFF. who wants to be described as a chaff? A chaff is is the husks of wheat or other grain separated in threshing or winnowing. By this process the farmer SEPARATES the true grain from the chaff or the waste by throwing it into the air. BELOVED LET US OBSERVE THE FOLLOWING ABOUT THE UNGODLY -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The ungodly: 1. Is separated from God. 2. Is worthless in the sight of God. 3. Is wind driven like the chaff. He / She is aimless and has no bearing where he/she is going. 4. Is weightless in spiritual matters. 5. Is weak and wobbly in all he does. 6. Is unstable and restless Let me ask you does this description fit you? The ungodly my friends, lives a worthless, wasted life without any purpose . Such a person is wind-driven by the worlds philosophy, opinions and attitudes. He is easily swayed by others to do evil. Living ungodly is a personal choice you have made. This will lead you unto destruction and eternal damnation. I pray that as you read this you will pray and ask God to forgive you of your sins and ungodliness. ACCEPT JESUS CHRIST AS YOUR SAVIOUR AND LORD and receive all the blessings of the godly man. Shalom!!!!!
