SCSO Emergency Services Seeks a few Good Volunteers The Emergency Services Division of the Shelby County Sheriff’s Office is taking applications and seeking volunteers. Emergency Services is a support division that provides search and rescue along with backup medical response for the county. These are unpaid positions that are rich in the personal rewards that come from helping others. Applications are currently being accepted for candidates to take part in the next training class which begins in January, 2015. The deadline for submission is December 1st. Fred Miller at (901) 230-4689 to call for an application or for more information. There will also be an Open House on Saturday, November, 1, 2014 at our Training Academy located at 989 Dovecrest from 1:00-3:00pm. ES personnel will be on hand to answer any questions the public may have regarding training and the duties the unit provides.
