SDA Leaders: We Cant Stop The Apostasy! Must Get Victory Over The Mark, The Name, & The Number “God has revealed what is to take place in the last days, that His people may be prepared to stand against the tempest of opposition and wrath...While men are sleeping, Satan is actively arranging matters so that the Lords people may not have mercy or justice. The Sunday movement is now making its way in darkness. The leaders are concealing the true issue, and many who unite in the movement do not themselves see whither the undercurrent is tending. Its professions are mild and apparently Christian, but when it shall speak it will reveal the spirit of the dragon. {5T 452.1} Since the nations are already following the policies and the lead of the Papacy, the Mark of the Beast is about to be enforced with persecution for God’s saints. See Revelation 17:12-14. “‘These have one mind.’ There will be a universal bond of union, one great harmony, a confederacy of Satans forces. ‘And shall give their power and strength unto the beast.’ Thus is manifested the same arbitrary, oppressive power against religious liberty, freedom to worship God according to the dictates of conscience, as was manifested by the papacy, when in the past it persecuted those who dared to refuse to conform with the religious rites and ceremonies of Romanism.” {7BC 983.6} “ As we approach the last crisis...The world is filled with storm and war and variance. Yet under one head--the papal power--the people will unite to oppose God in the person of His witnesses. This union is cemented by the great apostate.” {7T 182.2}
