SDM detects mass-copying in 12th exams 8 arrested at Mankote Centre Posted on 01/02/2014 by Dailyexcelsior Excelsior Correspondent MENDHAR, Mar 7: Sub Divisional Magistrate (SDM), Mendhar during surprise checking in several exam Centres in the area found mass-copying going on and issued directions to police take cognizance of the matter. On his directions during checking eight persons were arrested at Mankote Govt Higher Secondary School. The SDM Romesh Kumar found books and material inside the exam centre and also found some staff members encouraging this illegal activity in the centre No. 437/437 of 12th class exam. He also sought explanation of the Exam Centre. Regarding Harni School exam centre incident, he directed DyCEO to hold inquiry and submit report. At Chhatral Higher Secondary School, he found books being used by students inside in presence of examination staff. The police party then rushed there and took cognizance of the matter. The SDM asked SDPO/ SHO Mendhar to depute flying squads for checking mass copying in the area. He also spoke to BOSE officials to take note of this practice in the exam centres
