SDP CAMPAIGN TRAIN TRUDGES ON LAU AND ARDO-KOLA ON THE 26TH JANUARY. In continuation of his statewide campaign, governorship candidate of social Democratic Party [SDP] Chief David Sabo Kente to 26th January 2015 took his campaign to Lau the headquartes of Lau Local government council of Taraba State. In his usual style, he paid courtesy call on the Hakimin Kunini Alhaji Abubakar Danburam in his palace. At the palace the SDP governorship hopeful told the Hakimi that his purpose of coming to the palace was to pay homage and also seek his fatherly blessing. He further disclosed that his decision to dumped the for the SDP was because of the injustice done to him during the primaries, adding that SDP is not new in Taraba State because it was under its platform that His Excellency Rev. Jolly Nyame won election. He said during the period of Rev. Nyame he did well in terms of bringing about dividends of democracy. He promised if voted as governor of Taraba State in the Febuary 2015 general elections he would follow the footsteps of the Reverend gentleman to improve on the development of Taraba state through the construction of roads and the provision of other social amenities. Chief Kente was accompanied by House of assembly candidate of the party in the Area comrade Emmanuel George, Hon. Jerry Mamwe the party’s candidate for the house of representative and the senatorial candidate for the northern zone Hon.Philip Kundila, later he addressed SDP supporters at Lau central primary school where he promised that if voted he would not disappoint the people but would rather rewrite the history of the state by bringing about the needed dividends of democracy which has eluded the people for the past 16 years of PDP administration. He advised people of Lau to forget about party alphabets because that has not helped development in the past but base on their assessment on competence, maintaining that he stands tall among all the contestants in terms of community development through his personal efforts and he has records to show for that. In his response, the Hakimi of lau, Alhaji Abubakar Danburam maintained that as a father his doors were open for all aspirants seeking elective positions, he prayed God to grant the governorship hopeful good luck and infinite blessings throughout his governorship pursuit.
