SEARCY, Ark. (KTHV)- A mother is frustrated as the search for her missing two-year-old enters the third week. Malik Drummond was last seen on November 23. His mother, Tanya Drummond, says she thinks he was abducted. I dont think hes here, said Drummond on Tuesday afternoon. I mean, police checked the entire neighborhood 10- sometimes 12 times over. Drummond said she hasnt been able to eat or sleep much since hearing the news of her sons disappearance. I just have a feeling, and I dont think hes here anymore. Police released the 911 phone call that was made just 45 minutes after his disappearance. The phone call was made by a neighbor. SPD releases 911 audio on night of disappearance 911- Whats the address of your emergency?- Whats going on there maam? My neighbors son is missing- hes two and a half years old. Drummond said she understands why police keep information to themselves, but she says parents should still have a right to know. I just want to know what theyre coming up with about my son, said Drummond. I know theyre not trying to put it out there because it might ruin their investigation. Corporal Steve Hernandez said information needs to be kept concealed to follow protocol. Its not worth risking the investigation just to answer some of these questions that are out there. Searching Continues at Searcy Park for Missing 2-Year Old SEARCY, AR - Searcy Police plan to deploy dive teams again later this week at a city park in the search for a missing two-year old boy. Searcy Police chief Jeremy Clark tells FOX16 News dive teams worked over the weekend in the Little Red River as part of their on-going investigation into the disappearance of Malik Drummond. Also on Monday, Lesley Marcotte, who told police she was in another room when the boy disappeared, said detectives seized her cell phone as part of the investigation. Drummond was last seen inside his home on Park in Searcy on Sunday November 23rd. The ensuing week produced hundreds of volunteers from around the state and country searching throughout the city of 25,000 in case Drummond wandered off and was hiding. Clark announced December 1 those volunteer efforts were no longer needed, saying enough time had passed for detectives to exhaust the possibility of the two-year old still being outside waiting to be found. However, dive teams and investigators spent multiple days at Riverside Park in an effort, Clark says, to eliminate the area as a possibility where Drummond could be. Its not as simple as hey put on a mask and jump down there and see what you can see, Clark says. You cant see anything. So its a slow tedious process to eliminate these areas because of how long it actually takes to cover a very small amount of ground. Clark said Monday that work continues and will likely include dive teams from other parts of the state to assist the White County Sheriffs Department four-person dive team.
