Officers are now trying to figure out if this most recent case is connected to another case where a dog was shot to death. The most recent incident happened on a running trail near Kiowa and Pikes Peak Avenue in Colorado Springs. The other incident happened two weeks ago at a park near Astrozon and Jetwing on the southeast side of Colorado Springs. Springs Police say the MO is the same.
