SEEDY SIDE OF TOWN {looking east} The intersection of Lake and Western streets west of downtown Chicago....a little run down ...near the skid row area....4/9/62. As a young salesman in the 80s, I would have to drive through here to call on wholesalers here as well as Randolph street and Fulton Market. it wasnt unusual to see young girls with lots of makeup and very short skirts standing against the L supports and motioning to drivers to ...well, uh ...ya know....and NO...I never stopped! lol Not sure if this was going on as early as the 60s?
