SEEING GOD’S REFLECTION (Clean & Whole): While taking a quick walk through our house tonight, I counted nine (9) mirrors total. As I gazed at my own reflection in each mirror, I didn’t particularly like what I saw. What I saw certainly didnt appear like a definition of God’s likeness. The reflective surfaces showed me wrinkles, dry skin, dirt, nose hair, droopy eye-lids, gray hair, and so many other things I look upon as lifes little unpleasantries. But physical appearance is only one part of our human makeup. There’s also a spiritual side to life. Truthfully speaking, my inner self needs a lot of work too. I began thinking more about how God’s law is like a mirror. We all break the law at one time or another. Our blemishes are too big to compare to Him. No matter how hard we try, grace and mercy are needed at some point in our lives. What can make us clean and whole again? When God’s Blood is applied to our souls, it cleanses us from our iniquities. This comes through faith in Jesus Christ. By connecting to God’s Spirit, we start to look at ourselves differently and begin to realize our deepest purpose.
