SEEING IS BELIEVING: PART II Whilst taking your walk with God, - TopicsExpress

SEEING IS BELIEVING: PART II Whilst taking your walk with God, there will be some along your journey who will scoff at you, even persecute you for believing in a God who appears to have no physical appearance. I can only imagine the questions that would stem from such a topic. Seeing is believing basically means “only physical or concrete evidence is convincing”. People will say “unless I see it, I am not going to believe it”. Just think, a pair of eyes can even determine a person’s fate! I personally have followed my heart throughout my journey – it is where God places His greatest emphasis. I doubt that Heavenly Father places too much emphasis on what our eyes have seen, but concerns Himself more with what lies in our heart. Faith. Having it is much easier said than done. But how the rewards will be greater for those who believe, yet have never seen. Sure, He could have come down in physical form and said to the world “I am. I exist. Now believe”. But that would have blown the gift of freewill out of the water ... and Faith would be just another word in the English dictionary. Our eyes see things every day ... Does that mean that we should instantly believe in the things we see and have Faith in them? Think of witnesses to a crime – if all were present at the scene, why do they each hold different accounts of what happened? If any of those accounts were inconsistent with each other, who would be right and who would be wrong? – Especially if seeing is believing. Your journey should not be about convincing others why you have chosen the right or justifying why you chose God and committed your life to Jesus Christ – put the onus back on them to tell you why they haven’t. Put your focus where it should be – on Him. Whilst it is natural to take a defence for the ones you love, just remember He is the Almighty ... I am more than positive He can defend Himself. Deuteronomy 4:29 says, “But if from there you seek the Lord, your God, you will find Him if you seek Him with all your heart and all your soul” ... Try it. You never know what He might show you or tell you. Just because something hasn’t been written, doesn’t mean it can never come to pass. Just because you can’t find results on a google search about something you’ve experienced, doesn’t mean it has not happened to you. His blessings will be according to your walk with Him. I have experienced things that may only be blessings for me from my Father ... and I am truly thankful for those blessings. They have strengthened my Faith and have relieved me of any doubt that I allowed to dwell within me for so long. I am blessed in many ways and I will remain steadfast in my Faith in God and my Saviour, Jesus Christ. Man will always be ever-changing. But God, He will always be never-changing. His promises to you will forever remain ... along with His Word. Keep the Faith and keep Him at the centre of your life. Let others see Christ in you. Afterall, seeing is believing ... Amen
