SEEING THROUGH THE POLITICAL MIST Before Making a political - TopicsExpress

SEEING THROUGH THE POLITICAL MIST Before Making a political analysis certain principles have to be laid down otherwise each conclusion would be inconsistent with the previous one and skewed from reality. My principles: 1.Pakistan is USAs Client state. 2. USA controls Pakistan through Pak Army (soldier reforms policy for control in the third world post WWII ). In recent times they have decided to dilute the power of the army since they cant afford an anti American Coup within the institution, which has a mind of its own and they only control it through the top echelons. 3. Pak Army operates as an independent body but aligns with USA to sustain its empire and control over the populous. 4. Pak army wields its power through Media, Politicians, Trade unions Ex servicemen and by keeping tabs on the opposition (ISI). 5. Nawaz Sharif came into Power after proving to USA that he would no longer be the right wing conservative, and would be easier than the military to implement its policies for India, Afghanistan, China and Russia. 6. Imran like the Bhuttos leans towards the British and not the Americans (lets hope he doest share their fate too), hence would always be difficult for the Pro USA military to control. 7. TUQ is a pro west scholar for dollar, who is wiling to help the army to make room as a future ruler. Keeping the above principles in mind, the recent tug of war was between Nawaz and the Military to take the role of the alpha male to do USAs bidding. Imran saw this as an opportunity to weaken Nawaz and sided with the military. The military need him and TUQ as a pressure group but cant accept him as a ruler. They have to offer PTI and PAT a Golden bridge to retreat if they want to sustain their status as a pressure group (lets see what that political compromise would be). Imran has no choice but to stand his ground. The real test of conviction and leadership isnt when you dont have an option but when a compromise could earn you something very good, but not great. A real leader wields his power only from the people, and not big powers, by educating them, building public awareness (on policies and political issues) and then building public pressure on top of the awareness through political activism. Then Challenging the real ruler, Pak military and US Ambassador in this case, and convinces them to transfer power
