SEEK DAILY (NBC) Saturday, January 10 John 17:22-26 MAKING KNOWN THE LORD’S NAME “I have made you known to them, and will continue to make you known ….” John 17:26, NIV It was Hindra Ghandi who refused to be a Christian because he was discouraged by the way of life of those who claimed to be Christians in his days. This throws a big challenge to today’s Christians in line with the content of our text. Christ made God known to the people during His earthly ministry among them. He did not speak God’s name while abusing the opportunities He had to demonstrate godly virtues among them. He preached and lived God; and made Him, His acts and deeds popular. That was how we came to know God today. Many are in need of God today but will they come to Him because of you? It is true the world is populated with many churches but how many are actually making His name known? The posters, handbills and publicity boards for evangelism or crusades project bishops, founders, general overseers than the owner of the Church - God and His Christ. The world is itching to know God, and enjoy His promise of security as stated in Proverbs 18:10. Only you can make it possible, so preach and live Christ of a truth. • Birthday Blessing: And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:7 Read Bible Through Passage: Gen. 25, 26; Matt. 9:1-17 We can go to church three times a week, memorize scripture and have our Bible underlined, but still, what are we acting like out in the world?
