SEEK DAILY (NBC) Saturday, January 17 Ephesians 3:7–13 BOLDNESS AND CONFIDENCE THROUGH FAITH In whom we have boldness and access with confidence through faith in Him. Ephesians 3:12, NKJV To have confidence in God is to trust in His ability to act in a reliable manner towards us and all that has to do with us. It is this confidence that gives us boldness to come to Him in faith. In today’s passage, Paul expressed his confidence in God and affirms that it gives Him access to God. By human standards, a person like Paul is not worthy to be called an Apostle considering the kind of life he lived before getting to know Christ (Acts 9:26-31). But God’s grace gave him the opportunity to become a vessel in His hand. Like Paul would say, God’s grace made him what he was. Believers should be bold and confident through faith in Christ Jesus. Are you? Do you have feelings of inferiority because of your background? Is your self-esteem low? When you look at yourself, do you like or dislike yourself? A healthy self-image is a key factor for success and happiness in life. It controls actions and performance. Do not focus on your weaknesses; focus on God. Quit making excuses, step out in faith, be bold and confident in that position you have been called to serve.
