SEEK DAILY (NBC) Thursday, June 27 2 Chronicles 36:15-21 THE DESTRUCTION OF JERUSALEM They set fire to God’s temple and … burned… everything of value there. 2 Chronicles 36:19, NIV “I love my job,” said Dr. Ayo, a young medical doctor, “but it is so frustrating when I tell people what they need to do to stay healthy and they do not follow my advice.” Like this man, if you and I feel frustrated when our children or people will not follow advice, you can imagine how God feels when men and women ignore His Word. Israel was a typical example of a stubborn nation that never heed advice; the people thought they knew more than God (2 Chronicles 36:15-16). They ignored God’s warning given through His messengers until the wrath of God came upon them till there was no remedy. If you sow a seed of trouble you will definitely harvest a bushel of sorrow. It is a deadly thing to ignore divine instructions. Is God warning you about something today? Do not ignore Him. Pay attention and do away with that thing before His wrath comes. It is only in obeying His counsel that it shall be well with you. Prayer Point: Pray that you will not disobey God to the point of your destruction.
