SEEK DAILY (NBC) Thursday, October 9 Psalm 57:1-6 GOD’S PURPOSE FOR ME I cry out to God…who fulfils his purposes for me and sends his love and his faithfulness. Psalm 57:2, NIV Have you ever prayed or cried unto God for one thing and you get another? This experience is common among children of God. Do you remember the story of the four men who brought their crippled friend to Jesus to be healed in Mark 2? Instead of pronouncing healing on the man, Jesus said, “Son your sins are forgiven (Mark 2:5, because the man and his friends asked for a particular gift - healing) but Jesus wanted to make the man a child of God so he could enjoy more than he was requesting. Some believers will not believe that their prayers have been answered so they will persist in praying about a particular thing. Some others think God does not love them or care. The Bible says in Romans 8:26-27 that “… we do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us… in accordance with God’s will.” His purpose for you is always good and in line with His plan for your life. His love for you is what commands His goodness to flow into your life.
