Psalm 104:1, NIV If you are asked to describe a person who has had tremendous impact on your life and or community; as a direct beneficiary of the person’s deeds, it will be quite easy to eulogise him or her and speak of his or her greatness. But, if you have only heard or read about the person, your eulogies are very likely to be shallow. The psalmist, David, was a direct beneficiary of God’s great and mighty works so he knew how and had the right words to describe God. If indeed you also believe that God, your Creator, is great, then why that stress, panicking and struggle that have characterised your life? Many say that God is great, yet they live in anxiety about tomorrow, they run around from pillar to post, seeking for miracles and cannot trust God for simple provisions. What a great departure from David’s qualification of the Creator as Great! Learn to see the greatness of God rather than that ‘little’ need of yours. As you magnify the greatness of the Creator, all other things are minimised including your worries. Prayer Point: God, let me be conscious of your greatness in my life every day.
