SEEK DAILY (NBC) Tuesday, September 24 Job 38:12-18 LIMITED KNOWLEDGE AND INFLUENCE Have you any idea how big the world is? Answer me if you know. Job 38:18, GNB Can you imagine a toddler challenging a professor of linguistics to a verbal contest or a debate? The two are as different in nature and ability as two parallel lines that can never meet at any point or have anything in common. In today’s passage, God called Job out, questioned him of his might, ability to command or instruct, knowledge, reach and his oversight. Job dared not respond to the Almighty. When we learn to see the greatness and might of God, His strength, abilities, wisdom and knowledge, especially in comparison to our own weaknesses, inabilities, folly and ignorance, we will reverence Him even more. We will truly fear Him and then acquire true wisdom and influence. Consider today your weaknesses and inabilities and expect to see God’s strength manifest in them and worship Him for it. Our own knowledge is limited and our influence is weak but God knows all things and has control over all. Only when you put your insufficiency in His sufficiency will you be satisfied and want no more.
