SEEK DAILY (NBC) Wednesday, September 11 Deuteronomy 30:11-20 CHOOSING THE LIFE OF OBEDIENCE … Now choose life, so that you and your children may live. Deuteronomy 30:19b, NIV Someone once said, “Despite God’s ability to make man do anything God wanted, He decided not to impose on him. Rather, God gave him the will to do whatever he deemed right; based on his choice. Otherwise, man would have fallen short of God’s intention for him.” Life is full of choices to be made in obedience to either ourselves or a supreme being. Our choices are options we consciously yield ourselves to and eventually become a part of us. The moment we choose to obey the LORD we map out a life of obedience for ourselves and also build a relationship with the Lord. Abraham and David chose to obey the LORD completely and He called them ‘Friend’ and ‘Apple of God’s eye’ respectively. Today, they have become unto us witnesses to a life of obedience based on faith. Choose the life of obedience, though few people tread it; in it you have much to gain, as it is the only route to divine blessing. Prayer Point: Pray that you will choose a life of obedience that will lead you to divine blessing.
