SEEK DAILY, Tuesday, August 5 1 John 1:5-10 CONFESSION AND FORGIVENESS If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us... 1 John 1:9, NIV A dying girl said to her sister, “Please get the Bible and read for me that passage about the blood which cleanses from sin. I am afraid that my sins are too great to be forgiven. Check whether it says, ‘All sins’ or one ‘sin’ for I do not remember.” “Okay,” replied the sister. She opened the Bible and said, “These are the exact words, ‘The blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanses us from all sins.’” The dying girl heaved a sigh of relief and said, “Oh, how sweet. Now there is pardon for all my sins.” That is the beauty of salvation. It caters for ALL sins! The only condition is that you must confess your sin, no matter how terrible it is. If you cover it, the Bible says that you will not prosper. However, if you confess it, you will receive His mercy – His forgiveness! We should always remember that we are sinners saved by grace. To keep that grace, we must always admit our faults where and when necessary, before God and humankind. The blood of Jesus Christ would cleanse us from “all sins,” yes, from “all unrighteousness” (Hebrews 9:14; Revelation 11:5). Therefore, confess your sins to Christ today, notwithstandingthe gravity of your sins and receive His pardon and determine never to go back. Remember, no sin can be forgiven if it is not confessed. • Birthday Blessing: “For He satisfies the thirsty and fills the hungry with good things” Psalm 107:9 Read Bible Through Passage: Psalm 1-7; Romans 2 The greatest treasure is always at the end of the longest, and most difficult journey. - Anonymous ************************ Meditations for the Day 05Aug2014 BIBLE VERSE FOR THE DAY “Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God” (Philippians 4:6 NIV). ******************* QUOTE FOR THE DAY Worry and faith do not mix - they are like oil and water.
