SEEK DAILY Tuesday, September 17 Genesis 7:1-10 DOING ALL THE LORD COMMANDS And Noah did all that the LORD commanded him. Genesis 7:5, NIV Noah walked in total submission and obedience to the LORD in his time. He was also faithful to do all the Lord commanded him, even before the LORD decided to punish the people who lived wickedly. Noah’s commitment tells us that all it takes to walk blamelessly with the Lord and receive His approval is to do all He commands, faithfully. Noah did exactly as the LORD had commanded him (v. 5). We should always remember that partial obedience to God’s commands is as bad as an act of disobedience, which earns disapproval from God. King Saul’s failure to do all that the LORD had commanded him led to God being sorry He had made him king and subsequently his rejection. Saul not only lost his kingship, he also lost God’s presence. Therefore, we are urged to always do all that God wants us to do so that we can be approved of God. It is in our complete obedience to God’s commands that our faith becomes more pronounced, our peace assured and our relationship with the Father deepened.
