SELF COACHING CORRECTION FOR SLOW ELBOW TURN There are 3 Remedial exercises for elbow turn that I know of. The Hang Clean which is my 1st choice (Pendlay likes this). The Upright Clean (Vorobvievs IWF Textbook of Weightlifting), and the Front Squat starting with elbows pointing down (shown to me by Grant Torosian: former Soviet National Team member - Junior coach for Armenia - training partner of Yuri Vardanian - personal coach of Olympic champion Militosian), are the other two. Here is my Hang Clean correction done last Friday. BTW: A corrective exercise is not for building strength. It is for correcting form and timing. In my opinion, the weight used needs to be light enough to control but heavy enough to cause you to have to mentally consider it and heavy enough to feel the weight with effort...no more..
