SENATE BILL 1424 filed August 2013 by Senator JV Ejercito (download at senate.gov.ph/lisdata/1752114756!.pdf) has the potential of opening the floodgates to foreign professionals (FPs), allowing them and their offices to practice in the PH at will. If this becomes law, then it may take away jobs from registered and licensed professionals (RLPs) and registered professionals (RPs) well in advance of ASEAN 2015 and WTO GATS 2020. Wala na nga yata tayong safety nets, mukha din yatang ipinamimigay na ang State-regulated professional practices nang walang tamang konsultasyon sa mga stakeholders. Send Sen.
