SENATOR TO JOURNALIST Controversial Jubilee senator Joy Gwendo is not amused by the story on second wives featured in last week’s edition of The Nairobian. According to sources close to the senator, Gwendo while hosting a group of friends at her house in Lang’ata, openly expressed her discontent, not only with the story, but the fact that even after writing previously about her, the scribe still had the audacity to call her while she was in hospital. “I pity that The Nairobian journalist. I’m a senator with loads of money while he is just a mere journalist who will probably die poor,” our source quoted the senator. Asked if indeed she had said those words, the senator refused to comment. She politely told Heads Up: “You do whatever you feel like. I wish you all the best.” This is not the first time that the Senator has clashed with The Nairobian journalists. Earlier in April during the Luo Festival held at the Carnivore Grounds, she spotted one of The Nairobian journalists and beckoned him saying, “Hey you! Do you want a story?” she called out as if to mock the writer.
