SEPARATED FROM MY MOTHER’S WOMB “But when it pleased God, who separated me from my mothers womb, and called me by his grace, to reveal his Son in me, that I might preach him among the heathen; immediately I conferred not with flesh and blood:” (Galatians 1:15-16) The separation began from his mother’s womb; I mean, Paul was first separated from his mother’s womb by God, and called by His grace towards the revelation of His Son in Paul, so that Paul might preach him among the people: Immediately, Paul did not confer with flesh and blood, including the flesh and blood of his own mother. So far we have seen that it is good to have the fruit of the womb, it is better to have the blessings of the womb with a blessed fruit of the womb, but now we are seeing that it is best to have the fruit of the womb separated by God from the womb and from flesh and blood unto God. When the fruit of the womb is separated from the womb unto God, it ceases to be called the fruit of the womb and becomes firstfruit unto God by the process called being born again: As it is written, “Of his own will begat he us with the word of truth, that we should be a kind of firstfruits of his creatures” (James 1:18). Infact, being born again means one is born not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God (John 1:13). Meaning that which was once born of the womb (flesh and blood), shall be born of God or separated by God unto himself. This separation also means sanctification: When God separated the firstborns of all the children of Israel from the womb and declared them holy unto Him, God sanctified them from the womb (Exodus 13:2, Luke 2:23). Therefore, God separates and sanctifies babies right from their mother’s womb whenever He calls them. 1. That He called Paul when Paul was already a grown up man means he had already sanctified (separated) Paul right from his mother’s womb: As it is written again, ““But when it pleased God, who separated me from my mothers womb, and called me by his grace, to reveal his Son in me, that I might preach him among the heathen; immediately I conferred not with flesh and blood:” (Galatians 1:15-16) 2. That He called Jeremiah when Jeremiah was already a grown up man means He had already sanctified (separated) Jeremiah right from his mother’s womb: As it is written, “Before I formed you in the belly I knew you; and before you came forth out of the womb I sanctified you, and I ordained you a prophet to the nations” (Jeremiah 1:5). He had already separated Paul from his mother’s womb for the calling of Christ the Son of God, even before the Spirit of God spoke to the Church and said, “Separate me Barnabas and Saul for the work for which I have called them” (Acts 13:2). Therefore it is written, “Paul, a servant of Jesus Christ, called to be an apostle, separated unto the gospel of God” (Romans 1:1). However, it is not all the separation of God which began from the mother’s womb that was meant to have the child called to be a minister of God: The Separation of God were according to the Calling of God, and the calling of God were not all the same for everyone whom He had separated from their mother’s womb. Therefore, let us list some of the separation of God from the womb according to their calling. 1. Separated to be a nation from the womb and separated to be different kind of people from the womb. There are people whom God separated from the womb just to be contrary to other people or to be a nation different from other nations of the world: As it is written, “And the LORD said unto her, “Two nations are in your womb, and two manner of people shall be separated from your bowels; and the one people shall be stronger than the other people; and the elder shall serve the younger” (Genesis 25:23) 2. Separated to be a Nazarite or a deliverer. Such was Samson, who a Nazarite from his mother’s womb and began to deliver his people from the Philistines: As it is written, “Behold, you shall conceive, and bear a son; and no razor shall come on his head: for the child shall be a Nazarite unto God from the womb: and he shall begin to deliver Israel out of the hand of the Philistines” (Judges 13:5). 3. Separated to God by vows of the mother. This was the case with Samuel the Prophet, for his mother already made a vow of separation over him to God, even before he came into his mother’s womb: As it is written, “And she vowed a vow, and said, O LORD of hosts, if you will indeed look on the affliction of your handmaid, and remember me, and not forget your handmaid, but will give to your handmaid a male child, then I will give him to the LORD all the days of his life, and there shall be no razor passing upon his head” (1 Samuel 1:11). 4. Separated to be a Eunuch from the womb (Matthew 19:12). 5. Separated to be a minister of God and of Christ from the womb. 6. There are other separation and sanctification of God from the womb according to his unique calling for each individual from the womb. THE SEPARATION OF JESUS CHRIST FROM THE WOMB Jesus was separated from the womb of Mary, unto God: A baby yet in his mother’s womb, already knew God for himself more than he knew his mother – right in the womb of his mother, he already knew God even when he was yet to know his own mother that bore him in her womb: As it is written, “But you are he that took me out of the womb: you did make me hope when I was upon my mothers breasts. I was cast upon you from the womb: you are my God from my mothers belly.” (Psalms 22:9-10) Again, the scripture says, “For you are my hope, O Lord GOD: You are my trust from my youth. By you have I been held up from the womb: you are he that took me out of my mothers bowels: my praise shall be continually of you. I am as a wonder unto many; but you are my strong refuge.” (Psalms 71:5-7) What kind of separation did Jesus have from the womb? Meaning, what kind of calling did God called him from the womb? I may not fully know the whole calling of Jesus from the womb right now, but I can list two: 1. Separated from the womb according to the call of God to be His servant and His salvation to Israel and to the whole world: Infact, this separation and calling of Jesus from the womb was tied to the meaning of his name – JESUS (meaning “Saviour” or “God saves”). As it is written, “Listen, O islands, unto me; and hearken, you people, from far: “The LORD has called me from the womb; from the bowels of my mother has he made mention of my name…” And now, says the LORD that formed me from the womb to be his servant, to bring Jacob again to him, “Though Israel be not gathered, yet shall I be glorious in the eyes of the LORD, and my God shall be my strength.” And he said, “It is a light thing that you should be my servant to raise up the tribes of Jacob, and to restore the preserved of Israel: I will also give you for a light to the Gentiles, that you may be my salvation to the end of the earth.” (Isaiah 49:1, 5-6). 2. The other separation and calling of Jesus before the womb of his mother was to be King of the Jews and to be King of Kings to all generations: Therefore, He was born King of the Jews or He was already King when He was born. There was a king who was made at the age of seven years or eight years in Israel, but Jesus was born King and it was a King that came out of the womb and He was the King that is to be worship as God (Matthew 2:2). Therefore, He was the King of kings, LORD of Lords and the God of gods: As it is written, “But you, Bethlehem Ephratah, though you are little among the thousands of Judah, yet out of you shall he come forth unto me one who is a ruler in Israel; whose goings forth have been from of old, from everlasting.” (Micah 5:2) I encourage you to be separated from your mother’s womb and from your mother’s breasts. Do not say you are already old or you are no more in your mother’s womb or breasts, for whoever loves his mother more than Jesus Christ is not worthy of Jesus Christ and he or she is not yet separated from the womb or breasts of flesh and blood. Therefore it is written, “He that loves father or mother more than me is not worthy of me: and he that loves son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me. And he that does not take his cross, and follow after me, is not worthy of me. He that finds his life shall lose it: and he that loses his life for my sake shall find it.” (Matthew 10:37-39).
