SEPARATION OF CHURCH AND STATE. While the Founder of this Great Nation had great intentions, they didnt count on the impact fanaticism would bring to the voting pols. Ergo, our present economic & financial status. To be clear, Im EXCLUDING the 400 from the us. It is unfortunate that so many are NOT SEPARATING, (or have difficulty doing so) the two. A great many, in fact, seem to find some kind of misguided security in unifying church & state, contrary to our Constitution. The trouble, as some are wont to point out, is that neither the basic body of that Constitution nor the first ten Amendments (the Bill of Rights), is specific in their eyes! For the erudite, that posture is pure nonsense. They (the erudite) are correct is such assessment. The first Amendment is specific enough. Please read it: Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; (the balance has to do with the freedom of speech, the press, right to assembly & to petition the Government.
