SEPTEMBER 16, 2014 - SOMETHING TO PONDER A TWO-WAY RELATIONSHIP Isaiah 50:4b (AMP) He wakens me morning by morning, He wakens my ear to hear as a disciple [as one who is taught]. Here we find the prophet Isaiah describing his relationship with God as one that has two-way communication. Do you ever feel that your communication with God is only one way - you to Him? In Isaiah 50:4-5, he tells us, The Sovereign Lord has given me an instructed tongue, to know the word that sustains the weary . . . The Sovereign Lord has opened my ears, and I have not been rebellious; I have not drawn back. If we are to walk in a relationship with God, we must recognize His voice. Knowing and spending time in Gods Word gives the Holy Spirit entrance into our hearts so that He can give clear directives on what He wants for us. As you invest your life in a two-way relationship with Jesus, you will be able to recognize His voice and encourage the weary ones around you.
