SEPTEMBER 2013 Dear Praying Friends and Faithful Partners, “But his delight is in the law of the LORD, and in His law he meditates day and night. He will be like a tree firmly planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in its season And its leaf does not wither; And in whatever he does, he prospers.” Psalm 1:2,3 How does one live fruitfully? The key is delighting in God’s Word and allowing Him full sway in our lives. An old hymn says it very well: “Trust and obey for there’s no other way, to be happy in Jesus, but to trust and obey.” Trusting is to completely believe God at His Word and that He will fulfill His plans and purpose for me no matter what happens in life. Obedience though, must follow trusting. I always remind my Sunday school learners that in the middle of the word Obedience, is the word “die”. I no longer live, but Christ lives in me (Galatians 2:20) – I can live a fruitful life because it is Christ living in me bearing fruit – fruit that lasts. The work of the Mission is not the work of one person. We are so very thankful that by His grace, wisdom and strength – people are discipled, trained and equipped, so that the work goes on and that the Lord is magnified. Thank you dear Partners for your faithful support and prayers – your partnership is an inspiration and encouragement for us to press on and bear fruit, fruit that lasts!
