NOW!*** A volunteer writes: My first Serenity sighting is when I passed her kennel on my way to another dog...she looked up hopefully and quietly and I promised her Id be back. Shes so quiet in her kennel, easily leashed, and gently stepping out. Likely house-trained she went potty as soon as we were on the street, and we start off to the park. Her leash manners are lovely and her easy rhythm gives me the chance to admire how beautiful she is. Clearly well taken care of, her weight is perfect for her size, her coat clean and groomed, all evidence of having enjoyed the comforts of a home before joining us as a stray. Serenity doesnt mind being tethered for photos, makes soft eye contact and is an easy perfect model. Our girl was well named, as she is indeed serene and calm. Off leash in the backyard she chases a tennis ball, retrieves it and drops it at my feet. No guarding here as I easily pick it up for another throw. She comes when I call her and has a beautiful glide/prance to her step. Glimpses of her playful nature come out the more time we spend together, and when I left her in the pen for a few minutes she waited quietly for my return. Greeting me like a long lost friend with happy, easy tail wags, everything that Serenity does is with a calm softness that perfectly matches her name.
