SERGENT-AT-ARMS Behold, I have given you authority to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall hurt you. Luke 10:19 (ESV) Sergent-at-arms are the custodians of the mace which is the symbol of authority of the house of assembly and the speaker of the house, he has the authority to remove disorderly people by force if necessary. Once a meeting has started he stands at the door to keep authority and make sure no one comes in or out. In the United States senate, the sergeant-at-arm may display the mace in front of any unruly member as an admonition to behave. Their roles differ from one country to another but their basic role is to bear the symbol of authority - The Mace. When Jesus died and resurrected, he brought back the authority God gave to man during creation, He restored our dominion, He restored our symbol of authority...Jesus said Behold, I have given you authority to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall hurt you. Luke 10:19 (ESV). He wasnt talking about snakes and scorpions, but mountains and issues that confront us on our way to destiny land. He said to us...and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven. Matthew 16:19(KJV). He made us sergent-at-arms in this world! Tearing down obstacles, rooting out sicknesses and afflictions, pulling down alters of darkness and maintaining peace and orderliness in our lives bearing our symbol of authority - The risen Christ. But its one thing to bear this authority and another even more difficult to know that this authority is in your hands and mouth. Devil is not afraid of what you say but your knowledge of the authority behind what you are saying which can only be effective through knowledge of the word. Whatsoever you support, heaven supports and whatsoever you reject is booted out in heaven. Its all about the knowing. Grab it in-between the lines of the word. Prayer of Faith: Every root of affliction in my life, I root you out now in Jesus name..Amen Pls share to bless someone (Like our page for Holy Ghost inspired daily devotionals for spiritual upliftment and personal development @ facebook/gloryzone02 )
