SERIOUS AUDIO TECHNOLOGY QUESTION: Does anyone on here have any resources on how to develop virtual plug-ins for DAWs such as Logic, Pro Tools, FL Studio ect? Or resources on how to develop plug-ins for mixing and mastering? I perfectly understand and am capable of sound design and synthesis, recording, editing, and interface design, but I DO NOT know C++ and software development, which I know is what is used to bridge the gap between the sounds and the interface together for interactive audio. There is one program at CalArts in Valencia, CA that teaches this very subject, and it is called MTIID: Music Technology: Interaction, Intelligence and Design. Jeffrey suggested a good starting point would to being building instruments in Reaktor? If there are also seminars, extension classes, or even classes online in this subject, please let me know. This is something I have always wanted to do.
