SERIOUS ROAD CRASH - ANNAN Police Scotland Officers are continuing their enquiries and appealing for information following a serious road crash near Annan on Friday 2 January 2015. Around 1615 hours on Friday 2 January 2015, police were called to a report of a road crash involving two cars - a Vauxhall Corsa and a Skoda Fabia - on the B724 near Annan. The 18 year-old driver of the Vauxhall Corsa and his 17 year-old male passenger were taken by ambulance to Dumfries and Galloway Royal Infirmary where they are being treated for their injuries. Hospital staff describe their condition as serious but stable. The 19 year-old female driver of the Skoda Fabia and her 24 year-old male passenger were also taken by ambulance to Dumfries and Galloway Royal Infirmary where they are being treated for their injuries. Hospital staff describe their condition as serious but stable. Sergeant Leigh McCulloch of the Divisional Road Policing Unit based in Lockerbie said today: Our enquiries into the cause of the crash are continuing today, and I would urge anyone who was travelling on the B724 around the time of the crash and either witnessed it take place, or has any information that may assist our investigation to come forward. In particular I would like to speak to the driver of a lorry who stopped to help, but had left the scene before police arrival. Anyone with information should contact Police Scotland on 101.
