SERPENTS & SCORPIONS Prologue: “Behold, I give unto you - TopicsExpress

SERPENTS & SCORPIONS Prologue: “Behold, I give unto you power to tread on SERPENTS and SCORPIONS, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you.” Luke 10:19. Among all the creatures mentioned in the Bible, none is more formidable, in all of its various manifestations, than the serpent, most especially for its great mastery of the sophisticated art of deception. The list of serpents in the Bible reads something like this: The serpent (Nachash in Hebrew) - Genesis 3:1, Nehushtan: the bronze serpent Moses made – 2 Kings 18:4, the cockatrice (half hen – half dragon) – Isaiah 11:8, leviathan – Job 41, fiery serpents – Numbers 21:6, fiery flying serpent – Isaiah 14:29, spirit of python – Acts 16:16, Asp – Isaiah 11:8, Viper Acts 28:3, and the dragon – Revelation 12. As a matter of fact, the entire Bible was actually written as a collective compendium effort to counter the diabolical works unleashed by the one who carries the infamous title of the serpent, lucifer himself. This was his intro in the book of Genesis, and his outro in the book of Revelation. The first book of the Bible, Genesis, gives this introduction in Chapter 3 and verse 1, “Now the SERPENT was more subtil than any beast of the field which the Lord God had made. And he said unto the woman, Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden?” While on the opposite end of the spectrum, Revelation, the last book of the Bible, has this to say in chapter 12 and verse 9, “And the great dragon was cast out, that old SERPENT, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.” Now, putting two fingers on both scriptures we will connect them to the decree of the Lord Jesus in our prologue scripture from Luke 10:19, “Behold, I give unto you power to tread on SERPENTS and SCORPIONS, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you.” In the contextual body of this text within Luke chapter 10, the Lord Jesus had given His disciples authority to cast out demons and perform miracles, sending them into villages to carry this out. Upon their return, they brought back news of their victory to Him, after which he declared in the pretext verse 18 of the same chapter, “I beheld Satan as lightning fall from heaven.” By this making it known that the heaven was actually the place where the battle for establishing dominion on the earth really took place. He gave credence to this when He said in Matthew 18:18, “Verily I say unto you, whatsoever ye shall bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever ye shall loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.” Again, establishing the heaven as the primary factor in the battle for supremacy upon the earth. Now, let us begin our in depth analysis of Luke 10:19. Whenever the Lord Jesus began a statement with ‘Behold’, He was calling all of our undivided attention to the seriousness of whatever He was about to say. However, as being relevant to this dialogue, the active ingredients within that passage of scripture were the words that form the title of this article, SERPENTS & SCORPIONS. This means that there are two major spiritual powers in the kingdom of darkness that are contending with mankind, the powers of the SERPENTS and the powers of the SCORPIONS. The Lord Jesus alludes to these powers again when He sites some allegorical examples to His listeners in the very next chapter, Luke 11:11-12, “If a son shall ask bread of any of you that is a father, will he give him a stone? Or if he ask a fish, will he for a fish give him a SERPENT? Or if he shall ask an egg, will he offer him a SCORPION?” Nevertheless, the key to understanding Luke 10:19 is actually in Luke 11:11-12. But first, let us lay a few foundation of understanding before we can move forward. It’s interesting to point out that the comparison He made between BREAD and STONE is parallel to the first temptation He received in His confrontation with the devil, who so happens to be the chief serpent. Matthew 4:3 gave this account of the tempters words in that encounter, “And when the tempter came to him, he said, If thou be the Son of God, command that these STONES be made BREAD.” However, as was His common practice, the Lord Jesus had layers of illumination hidden behind each revelation, to be unraveled like the peeling of an onion. So let’s see how this works. In the theological discipline of Hermeneutics: the art and science of Biblical interpretations, scripture has one interpretation but numerous application. An example of an application would be the use of metaphors or similes. Based upon this, son in that allegory of Luke 11:11-12 could also represent a child of the kingdom of God. And the bread they ask for would represent the doctrines of the word of God, because when the Lord Jesus warned His disciples to beware of the leaven of the Pharisees and the Sadducees, they came to understand that the bread He was referring to was the doctrine of the religious order. “Then Jesus said unto them, Take heed and beware of the leaven of the Pharisees and of the Sadducees… Then understood they how that he bade them not beware of the leaven of bread, but of the doctrine of the Pharisees and of the Sadducees.” Matthew 16:6&12. It so happens that in response to the devil’s temptation, the Lord Jesus quoted Deuteronomy 8:3, “Man shall not live by bread alone but by every word that proceedeth from the mouth of God.” In addition, the Lord Jesus said, “I am the living bread which came down from heaven: if any man eat of this bread, he shall live for ever: and the bread that I will give is my flesh, which I will give for the life of the world.” John 6:51. Therefore, just as physical bread sustains the physical body, the Lord Jesus provides Himself as the spiritual bread that sustains the spiritual body of the children of the kingdom of God. It is He, the Lord Jesus, that is every word that proceeds from the mouth of God. That’s why the gospel of John begins with the everlasting declaration, “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God… And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.” John 1:1,2&14. On the other hand, the stone in that allegory of Luke 11:11-12 would represent the traditions & doctrines of men, because the Lord said, “And I will give them one heart, and I will put a new spirit within you; and I will take the stony heart out of their flesh, and will give them an heart of flesh: That they may walk in my statutes, and keep mine ordinances, and do them: and they shall be my people, and I will be their God.” Ezekiel 11:19&20. The religious leader’s stony hearts were not responsive to the words of the Lord Jesus because of their traditions & doctrines of men, keeping them from walking in the Lord’s statutes. This means that such religious doctrinal practices produce stony hearts towards God. And since the Lord Jesus said, “From the overflow of the heart the mouth speaketh,” therefore, whatever came from the mouths of the religious leaders were stony words, being produced by their stony hearts. Due to the fact that the principle had already being established in scripture that we reproduce after our own kind, the stony words of the stony hearted religious leaders only reproduced the self same conditions in the hearts of the multitude of their hearers. So in simple application, when a child of the kingdom of God asks the Lord for the bread of divinely inspired words, He will not offer that individual the powerless doctrine of men instead. It’s for this reason the Lord Jesus said, “Making the word of God of none effect through your tradition, which ye have delivered: and many such like things do ye.” Mark 7:13. Now, the next part of that allegory compared a fish to a serpent. The fish represents a person, because Habbakuk 1:14 says, “And makest men as the fishes of the sea.” The Lord Jesus gave credence to this in one of His short parables found in Matthew 13:47-49, He referred to fishes being caught as those who were brought into the kingdom of God. On the other hand, a serpent in that allegory could represent a child of the devil. So from that, we can extrapolate an example like this: If a child of the kingdom of God should ask the Lord for a godly mate, represented by a fish, He would not give them an evil person instead, being represented a serpent. In the last part of the allegory, an egg and a scorpion are pared together. An egg is symbolic of the beginning of a matter, or the origin of something such as an idea, while the scorpion has been a tag-team partner of the serpent from as far back as Deuteronomy 8:15, “Who led thee through that great terrible wilderness, wherein were fiery SERPENTS, and SCORPIONS.” But for a scorpion to be pared with an egg, this could only mean that the scorpion represents elements of the powers of darkness that attack and destroy things in their inception stages. Nonetheless, the serpent was pared with a mature and full-grown fish, while the scorpion was pared with an incubating egg. It therefore means that one aspect of the powers of darkness deals with the mature, while the other deals with the immature. Now, returning to Luke 10:19, the next dimension of understanding we’re going to pursue as we proceed further begins with this: Spiritual forces imitate animal tactics & strategies. It is for this reason the Bible says in 1 Peter 5:18, “Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, AS A ROARING LION, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour.” The next crucial point is this: To fully understand how these spiritual forces operate, we must also understand the behavior of the animals they represent, and in the case of this article, SERPENTS & SCORPIONS. Our critical study will begin with the serpents, and then we’ll move on to the scorpions. Perhaps the first thing we learn about serpents is that they master and adapt to their environment, which means the spiritual forces they represent are territorial. This territorial nature of spiritual forces was best demonstrated in the book of Daniel 10:12&13, “Then said he unto me, Fear not, Daniel: for from the first day that thou didst set thine heart to understand, and to chasten thyself before thy God, thy words were heard, and I am come for thy words. But THE PRINCE OF THE KINGDOM OF PERSIA withstood me one and twenty days: but, lo, Michael, one of the chief princes, came to help me; and I remained there with the kings of Persia.” In this account, the spiritual force that ruled over the territory of Persia resisted the angel sent to the prophet Daniel for 21 days, a delayer spirit that constricted the answer to Daniel’s prayer like a serpent. However, to give a more balanced perspective, the book of Daniel reveals to us that just as there are territorial demonic spirits, there are also territorial angels, “And at that time shall Michael stand up, the great prince which standeth for the children of thy people.” Daniel 12:1. The territorial nature of the spiritual forces of darkness was also demonstrated when the Lord Jesus cast out the demon called legion from the demoniac in the region of the Gadarenes. The Bible says this in Mark 5:10 concerning the demons plea, “And he besought him much that he would not send them away out of the country.” As we continue, serpents hibernate for several months in the year, which means the spiritual forces they represent operate seasonally. We see this trait in Luke 4:10, “And when the devil had ended all the temptation, he departed from him for A SEASON.” Going further, there are two methods by which serpents hunt. The first is the active hunter, which runs after its prey. This means that the spiritual forces represented by this type of serpent are spirits that pursue, symbolized by king Saul pursuing David. The second is the ambush hunter, which stakes out its prey and lays in wait in order to entrap it. This means that the spiritual forces represented by this type of serpent are ambushing spirits, ones that ensnare their victims with traps. We can sample this behavior from the Pharisees plot against the Lord Jesus in Luke 20:20, “And they watched him, and sent forth spies, which should feign themselves just men, that they might take hold of his words, that so they might deliver him unto the power and authority of the governor.” However, the ambush hunter is by far more sophisticated than the active hunter because of the different strategies by which it kills. These are constriction, envenomation and live swallow. We will now go into more intimate details bellow: First – Constriction: In this act the serpent wraps itself around its victim and squeezes life out of them, inducing death by suffocation, before swallowing whole. This means that the spiritual forces represented by this type of serpent are constrictors, which use the vehicle of circumstances to frustrate their victims into destruction. We can sample this strategy from the nations that besieged Israel in the Old Testament by surrounding their cities and cutting of food & water supplies. The end result of one of these sieges was an outbreak of hunger so severe that even cannibalism emerged. 1 Kings 6:24-30 gives this account of that incidence, “And it came to pass after this, that Benhadad king of Syria gathered all his host, and went up, and besieged Samaria. And there was a great famine in Samaria: and, behold, they besieged it, until an asss head was sold for fourscore pieces of silver, and the fourth part of a cab of doves dung for five pieces of silver. And as the king of Israel was passing by upon the wall, there cried a woman unto him, saying, Help, my lord, O king. And he said, if the Lord do not help thee, whence shall I help thee? Out of the barnfloor, or out of the winepress? And the king said unto her, what aileth thee? And she answered, this woman said unto me, give thy son, that we may eat him to day, and we will eat my son to morrow. So we boiled my son, and did eat him: and I said unto her on the next day, Give thy son, that we may eat him: and she hath hid her son. And it came to pass, when the king heard the words of the woman, that he rent his clothes; and he passed by upon the wall, and the people looked, and, behold, he had sackcloth within upon his flesh.” Therefore, the serpentine constriction of the siege was so powerful that it squeezed out cannibalistic destruction out of the people of ancient Israel. Second - Envenomation: In this act the serpent bites and injects its victim with venom. After that it would do one of two things, either release its victim to go and die while trailing their carcass so as to devour it, or holding on to its bite until the victim dies and then devours them. This means that the spiritual forces that this type of serpent represent destroy by the articulatory equivalent of venom, which would be none other than such vices as gossip, slander, backbiting, backstabbing, false accusation, character assassination, misrepresentation, fault finding and all other forms of verbal malfeasance. But verbal venom comes in other forms. For example bad news, which is used to create in the heart of its hearers emotions such as fear, disbelief, hysteria, paranoia and the likes of them. It was this type of verbal venom that ten out of the twelve spies sent into Canaan injected into the children of Israel, which incited their unbelief towards God and cost that generation the promise land, Numbers 13:25-14:10. Verbal venom also comes in the form of evil report, which is used to create amongst its hearers discord, disagreement, jealousy, envy, malice, confusion, misunderstanding, misjudgment, rejection and the likes of them. In Genesis 37:2, we have this testimony, “These are the generations of Jacob. Joseph, being seventeen years old, was feeding the flock with his brethren; and the lad was with the sons of Bilhah, and with the sons of Zilpah, his fathers wives: and Joseph brought unto his father their EVIL REPORT.” So began the woes of Joseph at the hands of his brothers, which would end-up leading him into slavery in Egypt. However, as a sidebar, it’s commonly assumed that it was this incidence, along with the coat of many colors given to him by their father Jacob, in combination with his dreams of ruling over them in his sleep, that provoked enough resentment in his brothers to want to take his life. But upon close examination it becomes obvious that such concerns are not strong enough motives to take their own brother’s life. So what was really the culprit? Well, it’s commonly said in theological circles that the Old Testament is the New Testament concealed, and the New Testament is the Old Testament revealed. So following that order, the true motive of Joseph’s brother’s resentment of him in the Old Testament is actually revealed in the New Testament. We find this revelation nestled within the pretext to the Lord Jesus’ encounter with the woman at the well. The book of John 4:5 records this, “Then cometh he to a city of Samaria, which is called Sychar, near to THE PARCEL OF GROUND THAT JACOB GAVE TO HIS SON JOSEPH.” We know by tradition that it was the eldest sons who got the lion’s share of the inheritance, not the youngest ones. Such gifts from fathers never get to the youngest children in a family of 12 males. The elder brothers got all the good portions, while the younger ones received the leftovers. But Joseph, the second to the youngest, received that which was rightfully Reuben’s, his oldest brother. And just as it was the issue of inheritance that provoked Esau to seek his brother Jacob’s life, it’s now unveiled that this must also have been the same issue in Joseph’s case, which caused his brothers to seek his life. So we see the very same kind of sibling rivalry in the life of the father, Jacob, manifesting in the life of the son, Joseph. There is a saying, “Blood is thicker than water.” This generally means that family ties are strong than any other human bonds. Based upon what we’ve learned from the Bible and history itself, that statement needs to have an addendum attached to it. Then it would read more like this, “Blood is thicker than water - but inheritance can change everything.” Third - Live Swallow: In this act the serpent engulfs its prey alive. This means that the spiritual forces this type of serpent represents do not act behind the scene, but rather destroys their victim in person. A good example of this would be the story of the three Hebrew boys in Babylon. Hananiah, Azariah and Mishael, better known by their Babylonian names as Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego. The story goes like this, according to the book of Daniel chapter 3. Nebuchadnezzar, the king of Babylon had made a giant golden image and required that all the subject of his kingdom come out on a given day to bow down and worship it as soon as the command was given. But unfortunately, there were three in the crowd who refused to obey this command. You see, our three Hebrew friends could not violate the Ten Commandments of God Almighty by bowing to a graven image. This action incurred the wrath of the king, who himself was under the influence of the chief serpent Lucifer. As a result, our three Hebrew friends get cast into a fiery furnace, to be martyred for their faith. This was now lucifer’s way of swallowing them alive like a serpent. But on this however, the Lord would not have it. So He showed up as the fourth man in the flames to save the day by robbing the flames of its power. Upon the king beholding this mesmerizing sight, he subsequently had them removed from the flames and promoted in the kingdom, which means that after every victory is a promotion. Howbeit, the best and most vexing example is none other than the crucifixion of the Lord Jesus Himself. The spirit of the serpent, lucifer, operating through the religious leaders, schemed the death of the Lord Jesus by the excruciatingly slow death of crucifixion, while they watched. And by this they demonstrated the actions of a serpent swallowing its prey alive. Now, let’s turn our attention to the other member of the tag-team from hell, the scorpion. The best description that can be given to the relationship between the spiritual forces represented by serpents and scorpions would be that of a mafia bosses and their foot soldiers. However, the one single characteristic that serpents and scorpions have in common is that they are both venomous and therefore deadly. So the result of envenomation in the description of the serpent applies to the scorpion as well. This means that the spiritual forces that they both represent are masters at verbal atrocities. The most significant features on scorpions are their powerful pincers. These are enlarged appendages used in grasping and subduing prey. This means that the spiritual forces represented by the scorpion possess powerful techniques, strategies, schemes, plots and plans that are used in grasping and subduing their victims through the vehicle of circumstance. The scorpion’s notorious stinging tail contains a pair of poison glands that they use to paralyze prey. Since we now understand that the venom of serpents and scorpions are poisonous words, let us then consider the principle underlying words of the Lord Jesus, “A good man out of the good treasure of the heart bringeth forth good things: AND AN EVIL MAN OUT OF THE EVIL TREASURE BRINGETH FORTH EVIL THINGS.” Matthew 12:35. Based upon this, the poison glands in its stinging tail stand for the mischievous devices stored up in minds of the spiritual forces that the scorpion represents, by which they unleash their destruction. Now, looking back on Luke 10:19, “Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you.” The next active ingredient we are going to sample from that would be the statement “POWER TO THREAD ON.” You may be asking at this point, “What is the significance of this?” That is a very good question, with an equally good answer. Why? It is because that statement was actually the fulfillment of the first prophecy that was given in scripture, which so happened to concern the serpent. After the fall of man, the Lord God Almighty convened a meeting were He presided as the Eternal Judge, to deliver divine justice on account of treason by mankind. The verdict for three accused; man, woman and serpent, was guilty, and the sentence of the serpent was declared as follows, “And the Lord God said unto the serpent, Because thou hast done this, thou art cursed above all cattle, and above every beast of the field; upon thy belly shalt thou go, and dust shalt thou eat all the days of thy life: And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; IT SHALL BRUISE THY HEAD, and thou shalt bruise his heel.” Genesis 3:14&15. In the last statement, we get to observe Biblical allegories at its best. But for the sake of avoiding excessive lengthiness of this article, we will not attempt a complete breakdown of that highly volatile, super-potent and extra-concentrated prophetic declaration by the Lord God Almighty. Let’s save it for another dialogue. But for now, we’ll just use the relevant revelatory disclosure of information, which are head and feet. Head is symbolic of government, because in prophesying about the Messiah, Isaiah said, “For a child will be born to us, a son will be given to us; AND THE GOVERNMENT WILL REST UPON HIS SHOULDER; And His name will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Eternal Father, Prince of Peace.” Isaiah 9:6. The only thing that rests on the shoulder is the head of the body. With this in mind we can now understand the Lord Jesus’ statement, “The foxes have holes, and the birds of the air have nests; but the Son of man hath not where to lay his head.” Matthew 8:20. Now this statement has prompted many to assume the Lord Jesus didn’t have a home. But contrary to that, the gospel clearly mentions His family’s home, even the homes of His disciples. The head the Lord Jesus was talking about was the government of His kingdom, which He took everywhere He went. Where so ever His feet thread upon, His kingdom had arrived there. On the other hand, the fox the Lord Jesus referred to was king Herod. Here is a short dialogue between the Lord Jesus and some Pharisees to stress the point, “The same day there came certain of the Pharisees, saying unto him, Get thee out, and depart hence: for Herod will kill thee. And he said unto them, GO YE, AND TELL THAT FOX, Behold, I cast out devils, and I do cures to day and to morrow, and the third day I shall be perfected.” Luke 13:31&32. The birds of the air the Lord Jesus was referring to were the symbols of the golden eagles that the Romans, who ruled Israel at that time, carried in front of their legions, and their nests were in Rome. Now, going back to the prophecy, heel is symbolic of foundation, because just as the foundation of a house supports the entire weight of that house, likewise the ball of the heel is actually the part that supports the entire weight of the body, making it the foundation of the body. If anything happens to the ball of the heel, the individual would stumble and fall. So with all this in mind, what do we have? Well, that prophecy was simply saying that there is a battle of two kingdoms and two governments, the kingdom of darkness vs. the Kingdom of Light, and the government of the serpent vs. the Government of the Messiah, the Lord Jesus Christ. However, the government of the Messiah would crush the government of the serpent, but the government the serpent would cause the Messiah to stumble, and this was a forth telling of the crucifixion. So how does this apply to Luke 10:19? It’s quite simple. In wild-west movies, Sheriffs hand badges to their partners, deputizing them with authority to enforce the law. In the same way, the Lord Jesus, by the authority vested in Him as the Messiah, was figuratively handing His disciples spiritual badges, deputizing them to enforce the dominion of heaven on earth by crushing the government of the serpents and scorpions, and overthrowing their kingdom. By this, the prayer of the Lord Jesus would be answered, “Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.” Matthew 6:10. It so happens that the Lord Jesus mentions serpents to His disciples in another passage of scripture. Let us introspectively observe what He had to say in that instance. “Behold, I send you forth as sheep in the midst of wolves: be ye therefore wise as serpents, and harmless as doves.” Matthew 10:16. You will notice that four allegories were used in this statement: Sheep, wolves, serpents and doves. Two of the allegories have physical representations while the other two have spiritual representations. The sheep of cause stands for the Lord Jesus’ followers, “My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me:” John 10:27. The wolves stand for those opposed to His followers, either within or without the Church world, “Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheeps clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.” Matthew 7:15. These are the physical representations, but on the other hand, the serpents and the doves are the spiritual representations. The serpents stand for one of the spiritual forces of darkness that is part of the subject of this article, “And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.” Revelation 12:9. Finally, the doves are representative of the Spirit of God, “And the Holy Ghost descended in a bodily shape like a dove upon him, and a voice came from heaven, which said, Thou art my beloved Son; in thee I am well pleased.” Luke 3:22. By the Lord Jesus saying, “Be ye therefore wise as serpents,” this not only means that one of the greatest assets of the serpent is wisdom, but in order to outmaneuver the serpent, his pattern of wisdom must be known so that it can be countered. Apostle Paul alludes to this when he said, “Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: FOR WE ARE NOT IGNORANT OF HIS DEVICES.” 2 Corinthians 2:11. So now the great mystery to be solved would be, “What are satan’s devices?” Well, in that allegory, the Lord Jesus appeared to partner serpents with wolves, instead of scorpions. But in actuality, the serpent is also the wolf. And how is this possible? The answer is found in one of the most unusual serpent called the cockatrice from Isaiah 11:8. This serpent is described as half-hen and half-dragon. This means that it’s a representation of a hybrid spirit, which takes on the personality traits of two different animals. A hybrid is the offspring of two unrelated animals; therefore, it shares character traits of both animals. With that in mind, by default, this automatically takes us to Genesis 6 so we can pay a visit to its giants. The Bible gives this account, “And it came to pass, when men began to multiply on the face of the earth, and daughters were born unto them, That the sons of God saw the daughters of men that they were fair; and they took them wives of all which they chose. And the Lord said, My spirit shall not always strive with man, for that he also is flesh: yet his days shall be an hundred and twenty years. There were giants in the earth in those days; and also after that, when the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men, and they bare children to them, the same became mighty men which were of old, men of renown.” Genesis 6:1-4. Christian tradition holds that the sons of God in this passage of scripture were actually fallen angels. And it so happens that intermingling with human woman and having children by them caused their fall. Now, these children who were hybrids of fallen angels and human beings, besides their gigantic size and height, would have looked human on the outside, except that they had a demonic spiritual consistency on the inside. The Bible called them the Nephilim. Since Genesis is the book of formulas, here we see a strategy of satan which he had crafted and masterful deployed through the ages to come; the strategy of infiltration by assimilation. Even though that strategy was used in its physical application within Genesis 6, nevertheless, the spiritual application abounded. The best example of spiritual hybrids, or the Nephilim principle would be the parable of the wheat and the tares. It goes like this, “Another parable He put forth to them, saying: “The kingdom of heaven is like a man who sowed good seed in his field; but while men slept, his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat and went his way. But when the grain had sprouted and produced a crop, then the tares also appeared. So the servants of the owner came and said to him, ‘Sir, did you not sow good seed in your field? How then does it have tares?’ He said to them, ‘An enemy has done this.’ The servants said to him, ‘Do you want us then to go and gather them up?’ But he said, ‘No, lest while you gather up the tares you also uproot the wheat with them. Let both grow together until the harvest, and at the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, “First gather together the tares and bind them in bundles to burn them, but gather the wheat into my barn.” Matthew 13:24-30. The active ingredient we are looking for in this parable is the statement “But when the grain had sprouted and produced a crop, then the tares also appeared.” So on the outside they all looked the same. It wasn’t until their actions were taken that the tares began to manifest themselves as belonging to satan. It’s for this reason the Lord Jesus says; “Ye shall know them by their fruits.” Matthew 7:16. The fruits are the actions we take. The will either be the fruit of the flesh or the fruit of the Spirit, as found in Galatians 5:19-23. Now, the Pharisees and religious leaders were also spiritual hybrids, in whom was the spiritual Nephilim principle fully active. This is because they had an outer form of godliness but inwardly they were filled with wickedness, to the extent that the Lord Jesus called them children of the devil, “Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.” John 8:44. By this we can now see that when the Lord Jesus said, “Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheeps clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.” Matthew 7:15. He was not just describing wolves dressed up like a sheep, rather spiritual hybrids that had the body of sheep on the outside but the soul of a wolves on the inside. Remember, the wheat and the tares looked exactly the same. It was only the fruit of their actions the revealed their distinction. This is because the tares were hybrids that appeared as wheat on the outside but had the fruits of satan on the inside. Epilogue: As we come to our closing, we can now lift our fingers off the two scriptures Genesis 3:1 and Revelation 12:9, so that we can make our final analysis. However, we will let the Spirit of God breathe the breath of life into the nostrils of the scriptures, so that the secrets of eternity might be unveiled. And so it is that in the battle for kingdom supremacy, there is always a big picture. Both Genesis 3 and Revelation 12:9 gives us an insight into lucifer’s big picture: worldwide deception. Therefore, we can surmise it to say that the kingdom of darkness operates by deception lead captivity, while the kingdom of light operates by clarity lead liberation. For this reason the Bible boldly declares, “Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, IF YE CONTINUE IN MY WORD, then are ye MY DISCIPLES indeed. AND YE SHALL KNOW THE TRUTH, AND THE TRUTH SHALL MAKE YOU FREE.” John 8:31&32. Therefore, in conclusion, the secret of accessing the power of God is in continuance in the Word of God. And it’s by this that we not only establish the dominion of God upon the earth, but we also overthrow, subvert and bring under absolute submission, the powers of SERPENTS & SCORPIONS.
