In 2011, he was worth more than 59 billion dollars! That is 59 followed by nine zeros ($59,000,000,000). Most people in our world don’t even have one millionth of his fortune. Could we use the Apostle PETER? He said “Silver and gold I do not have, but what I do have I give you: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, rise up and walk.” Acts 3:6 . IN THE END POOR PETER WILL BE FAR RICHER THAN ANY BILLIONAIRE THAT EVER LIVED AND SO WILL YOU IF YOU LEARN TO LIVE LIKE PETER LIVED!! . If your name is on the building, youre rich; If your name is on your desk, you’re middle-class; If your name is on your shirt, you’re poor.” -- Quote from the Reader’s Digest. The apostle Peter probably never had his name on his shirt, desk, or on a building but He has His name on the foundations of the capital city of the Universe, New Jerusalem. Therefore using the quote from the Reader’s Digest I would have to say that poor Peter will be far richer than any billionaire that has ever lived and so will you if you live by the principles presented here (in these Seven Steps). John saw New Jerusalem in vision, “descending out of heaven from God, having the glory of God. Her light was like a most precious stone, like a jasper stone, clear as crystal. . . Now the wall of the city had twelve foundations, and on them were the names of the twelve apostles of the Lamb.” Revelation 21:11-14. So if I were to judge a person’s success by where they had their name (shirt, desk or building) I would have to judge the 12 apostles as the ones who possessed “lives of all power!” And yet in worldly wealth they did not appear successful or powerful. . “A Life of All Power” is a tract I wrote in 2001 prophecymadeeasy/chapter33.htm . “Seven Steps to a Life of All Power” prophecymadeeasy/chapter34.htm . POWER AND SUCCESS IN THIS WORLD ARE A MIRAGE! . What often appears to us as “Lives of All Power” are merely temporary achievements. Christ says, “Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal; but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.” Matthew 6:19-21 .. GOD’S NEW COVENANT POWER AND GIFTS ARE FOUND IN HIS PROMISES, PURCHASED WITH HIS BLOOD! . In answer to the prayer of faith in the following promises you will receive: (1) The gift of angels watching over and protecting you! Psalm 34:7; Psalm 91;11-12 . (2) The gift of God’s forgiveness of all your sin and the gift of a clean heart 1 John 1:7-9; Ezekiel 36:26. . (3) The gift of walking and talking with God who answers and provides for all of your needs. Jeremiah 33:3; Matthew 7:7. . (4) The gift of His Spirit, filling your life with His power. Luke 11:9-13; Acts 1:8; 6:8. . (5) The gift of a life free of the fear of death and the assurance that God will raise you up to everlasting joy and power that will last forever. 1 Thessalonians 4:16, 17. . (6) The gift of God’s presence with you daily (Revelation 21:3. . (7) The gift a life of adventure of “pleasures forevermore.” Psalm 16:11. . (8) The gift of knowledge that when you go home with Jesus you will never die again, never be sick again, never need an operation again, never hunger or thirst again. Revelation 21:4; 22:3; 7:16; Isaiah 33:24; 65:23. . (9) The gift in eternity that you will be physically whole forever! The deaf will hear, the blind will see, the dumb will sing and the lame will run. Isaiah 35:5, 6; Philippians 3:21. . (10) The knowledge and assurance that in the years to come in heaven and in this world that God makes New and beautiful you will never fear violence again. Isaiah 60:18. . (11) The knowledge that you will be reunited with many loved ones in heaven. 1 Corinthians 13:12. . (12) The gift of knowing that God will one day have invite you to sit with Him on His throne as part of His government. You will have a more important position than any king or president ever had on had in the past and you will have this royal position forever! - John 14:1-3; Revelation 3:21. . (13) The gift of knowing that in the Earth after God destroys the rubbish and creates a paradise on earth you will build a house and plant gardens that are debt free and eternal. Isaiah 65:22, 22. . (14) The knowledge that in heaven and in the Earth paradise of the future God will make you equal with the “angels of God in heaven.” You will have the same strength and speed and power as the “angels of God in heaven.” You will be able to travel the universe to the millions of unfallen worlds at speeds that far exceed the speed of light and you will not need an airplane or rocket ship. Matthew 22:30, Hebrews 1:2. . (15) The gift of a life that will be so utterly amazing that your mind can not even conceive of the splendor and joy that awaits us in Christs kingdom. Gods Word says, Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, Nor have entered into the heart of man The things which God has prepared for those who love Him.” 1 Corinthians 2:9. . These are but just a very few gifts that we receive from Christ when we learn and follow the principles of His kingdom that I have outlined here in these “Seven Steps,” these “Seven Secrets of a Life of All Power.” Christ purchased all these gifts for you by dying the death your sins deserve so that He might give you the life He deserves! - Romans 3:23 and 6:23; John 3:16; Revelation 3:21. . In “Seven Steps to a Life of All Power,” we will examine seven things God tells us we must do so that we might have “A Life of All Power! . SEVEN STEPS TO A LIFE OF ALL POWER! . Step One - Learn Your Spiritual Temperature! and Turn to Christ, “Repent” Revelation 3:14-21. Step Two - Spend Time with Christ Step Three – Choose To Be Born Again! Step Four - Choose To “Abide” (Walk) With Jesus Daily (Hourly)! Step Five - Hunger, Thirst, Talk, Believe, and Pray For The Holy Spirit! Step Six - Pray Daily With a Prayer Partner! Step Seven - Go Exercise Your Faith! – Help others find a life of all power! . Basically the seven steps can be abbreviated into a couple of different verse sections from the book of Matthew. Matthew 11:28-30 Tells us to “Come, Learn, and Rest” and Matthew 28:18-20 tell us to “Go, Teach, and Baptize.” . COME, LEARN “COME to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and LEARN from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find Rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.” Matthew 11:28-30 . GO, TEACH . “And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, ‘All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. GO therefore and make disciples of all the nations, Baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, TEACHING them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.’ Amen.” Matthew 28:18-20 _____________ Step One -- LEARN Your Spiritual Temperature and turn to Christ – REPENT! . How can we be this type of “healthy” Christian? First we must find out whether we are “healthy” or not. When we go to the doctor’s office, what does the nurse stick in our mouths? She puts a thermometer in our mouths to check our temperature to determine whether we are healthy or sick. In like manner, God checks your spiritual temperature to see if you are sick or healthy. His thermometer, however, has only three readings. They are Hot, Cold, and Lukewarm. The only Spiritual temperature of these three that Christ accepts in the judgment is “HOT.” Both “COLD” and “LUKEWARM” are bad, but “lukewarm” is the worst! Christ speaks to the seventh and last of the seven church periods of Revelation chapters two and three in Revelation 3:14-21. . Christ tells us in these verses how to “repent” from our mediocre lives and “LIVE A LIFE OF ALL POWER!” Let’s examine Christ’s method of making us eternally successful, of changing our mediocre lives into “Lives of All Power!” . CHRIST SPEAKS TO MODERN CHRISTIANS . Christ speaks to Modern Christianity (You and Me) about our Spiritual health. He tells us that He wants us to REPENT AND BECOME “HOT” “ZEALOUS CHRISTIANS. . He says to the people of this generation: 1- “You Are Lukewarm!” 2- You Say ‘I Am Rich and Have Need Of Nothing.” 3- “You Do Not Know That You Are . . . Poor, Blind, And Naked. 4- “Buy From Me Gold . . . That You May Be Rich; and White Garments, That You May Be Clothed! 5- “Be Zealous and Repent. 6- “If Anyone Hears My Voice And Opens The Door, I Will Come In To Him And Dine With Him, and He With Me.” 7- “To Him Who Overcomes I Will Grant To Sit With Me On My Throne.” Revelation 3:14-21. _____________ STEP TWO - Spend Time With Christ . Christ says Buy from Me gold . . . and white garments . . . be zealous and repent. Why does Christ tell us to buy when salvation is FREE? With what can we buy His gold of Love and His robe of righteousness? IN ORDER TO BUY WE MUST SPEND! Of what does Christ want us to spend? . “It would be well for us to SPEND A THOUGHTFUL HOUR EACH DAY IN CONTEMPLATION OF THE LIFE OF CHRIST. We should take it point by point, and let the imagination grasp each scene, especially the closing ones. Desire of Ages, page 83. . THE BENEFITS OF STUDYING THE LIFE OF CHRIST . As we thus dwell upon His great sacrifice for us, our confidence in Him will be more constant, our love will be quickened, and we shall be more deeply imbued with His Spirit. If we would be saved at last, we must learn the lesson of penitence and humiliation at the foot of the cross.” {Desire of Ages, page 83}. . AS YOU SPEND TIME WITH HIM HE CHANGES (CONVERTS) YOU . “As we associate together, we may be a blessing to one another. If we are Christs, our sweetest thoughts will be of Him. We shall love to talk of Him; and as we speak to one another of His love, our heart will be softened by divine influences. Beholding the beauty of His character we shall be changed into the same image from glory to glory. 2 Corinthians 3:18. {Ibid} If you have been living your life without spending a thoughtful hour a day studying the life of Christ, God is calling you and me to REPENT AND BEGIN STUDYING HIS LIFE EVERY DAY! . Spend time not only with the four Gospels learning of Christs life on Earth 2,000 years ago and of His great love and sacrifice but also spend time following Christs life today in the 21st Century. What has Christ been doing since He died on the cross 2,000 years ago. He is alive and well in His heavenly sanctuary, preparing to return to Planet Earth to rescue His followers, His born again children. He has promised a blessing to those who seek to understand the last book of the Bible, the book of Revelation. He says, BLESSED IS HE WHO READS AND THOSE WHO HEAR THE WORDS OF THIS PROPHECY and keep those things which are written in it. Revelation 1:3. . If we want True Success, the life of all power that Christ purchased for us with His blood, we must obey His command and study the book of Revelation along with the book of Daniel, and the gospels. Jesus explains how to achieve “A LIFE OF ALL POWER!” Jesus said, “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is Born Again, he cannot see the kingdom of God. YOU MUST BE BORN AGAIN.” John 3:3, 7. Millions of professed believers dont understand how to be born again.” . MANY CRY OUT HOW DO I GET “BORN AGAIN?” . “How can I be born again? Do I get “born again” by attending a particular church? Do I get “born again” when I listen to a sermon or read a sentence from a holy book? Do I get “born again” by joining a study group or by being baptized? No, you can do all those things and not be “Born Again!” . Christ closed His first sermon with the words, Not everyone who says to Me, Lord, Lord, shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven. Many will say to Me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name: And then I will declare to them, I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness! Matthew 7:21-23. Only those who are truly born again have the living power of Christ working in their lives. God’s New Covenant . God gives you this gift when you believe and accept it through his promises! The author of Steps to Christ quotes a number of God’s promises. God has actually placed His Divine Power in His promises and that is why God calls His promises, “exceedingly great and precious promises.” It is through these very seeds, these very promises that God gives us His gift of everlasting life. It is in His promises that Christ gives us “A LIFE OF ALL POWER!” Christ says through His Word that He has “given to us exceedingly great and precious promises, that through these you may be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.” 2 Peter 1:4. Notice God actually gives you His Divine nature through His promises. His promises are the power that drives the Christians’ life to victory over “the corruption that is in the world through lust. We “escape” sin and death through His “exceedingly great and precious promises. . REACH OUT YOUR HAND AND GRASP HIS GIFT OF THE NEW BIRTH . We become born again through God’s “exceedingly great and precious promises. In chapter six of Steps to Christ, you will read three of Gods exceedingly great and precious promises(1) “God offers it to you as a gift, ‘without money and without price.’ Isaiah 55:1. It is yours if you will but reach out your hand and grasp it. (2) The Lord says, ‘Though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool.’ Isaiah 1:18. (3) ‘A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you.’ Ezekiel 36:26.” Steps to Christ, page 49. Numbers added for clarity. Simply confess your sins, give yourself to God, believe the promise and “You are born into the family of God” Ask Jesus for this new heart based on these very promises that God makes to you. . . IT IS SO ---- IF YOU BELIEVE IT! . . Again we read, “You are a sinner. You cannot atone for your past sins; you cannot change your heart and make yourself holy. But God promises to do all this for you through Christ. You believe that promise. You confess your sins and give yourself to God. You will to serve Him. Just as surely as you do this, God will fulfill His word to you. IF YOU BELIEVE THE PROMISE,--BELIEVE THAT YOU ARE FORGIVEN AND CLEANSED,--GOD SUPPLIES THE FACT; YOU ARE MADE WHOLE, just as Christ gave the paralytic power to walk when the man believed that he was healed. IT IS SO IF YOU BELIEVE IT. Do not wait to feel that you are made whole, but SAY, I BELIEVE IT; IT IS SO, NOT BECAUSE I FEEL IT, BUT BECAUSE GOD HAS PROMISED. Steps to Christ, page 51. . DAY BY DAY SAY, I AM CHRISTS . “THROUGH THIS SIMPLE ACT OF BELIEVING GOD, the Holy Spirit has begotten a new life in your heart. YOU ARE AS A CHILD BORN INTO THE FAMILY OF GOD, and He loves you as He loves His Son. Now that you have given yourself to Jesus, do not draw back, do not take yourself away from Him, but DAY BY DAY SAY, ‘I AM CHRISTS; I have given myself to Him;’ and ask Him to give you His Spirit and keep you by His grace. As it is by giving yourself to God, and believing Him, that you become His child, so you are to live in Him. . The apostle says, ‘AS YE HAVE THEREFORE RECEIVED CHRIST JESUS THE LORD, SO WALK YE IN HIM. Colossians 2:6.” Steps to Christ, page 52. Congratulations! If you just confessed your sins to God and believe that He forgives and cleanses you right now, at this very moment, because of His promise, you are “born again” into God’s family as His child. _____________ WALK” WITH CHRIST DEPENDING ON THE SAME PROMISES THAT BEGAN YOUR LIFE WITH CHRIST . . It is vital that we personally know Jesus and are “born again.” We, then, have a real purpose in life to share the wonderful truths that have changed our lives. Jesus says, YOU MUST BE BORN AGAIN. (John 3:7) and ABIDE IN ME (John 15:1-10). You have begun your life in Christ depending of His promise to cleanse you and give you a new heart. Now you must continue your “walk” with Christ depending on the same promises that began your life with Christ. You must trust His promises and depend on them to give you the power to obey and serve Him. Gods Word look small, like a mustard seed, but it is through His small Word that God created the Universe (see John 1:1,3,10-11, Colossians 1:13-17, and Hebrews 1:1-3,6,8). In addition, God recreates everyone who received and believes His Word, His exceedingly great and precious promises as presented in the Bible, the tracts. 2 Peter 1:4. . TAKE THE POWER OF CHRIST’S PROMISES . Jesus says, “He who sows the good seed is the Son of Man. The field is the world,” “The seed is the word of God.” Matthew 13:27, 38; Luke 8:11. “The same power that Christ exercised when He walked visibly among men is in His word. It was by His word that Jesus healed disease and cast out demons; by His word, He stilled the sea and raised the dead, and the people bore witness that His word was with power. He spoke the word of God, as He had spoken to all the prophets and teachers of the Old Testament. The whole Bible is a manifestation of Christ.” Ministry of Healing page 122. . GOD SPEAKS TO YOU INDIVIDUALLY THROUGH EACH ONE OF HIS PROMISES . . Believe “The promises of Gods word. In them, He is speaking to us individually, speaking as directly as if we could listen to His voice. It is in these promises that Christ communicates to us His grace and power. . . . Nothing else can have such healing power. Nothing besides can impart the courage and faith which give vital energy to the whole being.” Ibid. Talk About “A Life Of All Power!” This is how it happens! We are born again through Gods exceedingly great and precious promises and we live victorious lives daily by memorizing and claiming Gods exceedingly great and precious promises. They are our source of courage, faith . . . and energy. . They are the very power of God working in our lives that we may be partakers of the divine nature and escape the corruption that is in the world through lust.” 2 Peter 1:4. “Let us commit its precious promises to memory, so that, when we are deprived of our Bibles, we may still be in possession of the Word of God.” My Life Today by E.G. White, page 28. “Let these blessed promises, set in the framework of faith, be placed in memorys halls. Not one of them will fail. All that God hath spoken He will do. He is faithful that promised. {5T 630.2} . _____________ STEP FOUR -- Choose to Abide (Walk) With Christ Daily - hourly! . Christ says, Abide in Me. We must maintain a close union with Christ through prayer and memorizing God’s promises, one promise at a time. (Bible Study) See - Steps to Christ, pages 67 - 76 . TAKE ONE DAY AT A TIME! . “Consecrate yourself to God in the morning; make this your very first work. Let your prayer be, ‘Take me, O Lord, as wholly Thine. I lay all my plans at Thy feet. Use me today in Thy service. Abide with me, and let all my work be wrought in Thee.’ This is a daily matter. Each morning consecrate yourself to God for that day. Surrender all your plans to Him, to be carried out or given up as His providence shall indicate. Thus day by day you may be giving your life into the hands of God, and thus your life will be molded more and more after the life of Christ.” Steps to Christ, page 70. . PRAY SILENT PRAYERS OFTEN! . Uplift your heart to Christ all through the day in silent prayer. “Pray in your closet, and as you go about your daily labor let your heart be often uplifted to God. It was thus that Enoch walked with God. These silent prayers rise like precious incense before the throne of grace. Satan cannot overcome him whose heart is thus stayed upon God.” Steps to Christ, page 98. . _____________ STEP FIVE -- Hunger, Thirst, Talk, Believe and Pray for The Holy Spirit! . God promises us to give us His Spirit to help us be ready and prepare others to be ready for both the crisis that is coming upon Planet Earth and the second coming of Christ which will follow that crisis. “And it shall come to pass afterward That I will pour out My Spirit on all flesh; Your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, Your old men shall dream dreams, Your young men shall see visions. And also on My menservants and on My maidservants I will pour out My Spirit in those days. That whoever calls on the name of the LORD Shall be saved. Joel 2:28, 29, 32. . . RECEIVE POWER! . . Wherever the need of the Holy Spirit is a matter little thought of, there is seen spiritual drought, spiritual darkness, spiritual declension and death. Whenever minor matters occupy the attention, the divine power which is necessary for the growth and prosperity of the church, and which would bring all other blessings in its train, is lacking, though offered in infinite plenitude.” Acts of the Apostles page 50. . “Since this is the means by which we are to receive power, why do we not hunger and thirst for the gift of the Spirit? Why do we not talk of it, pray for it, and preach concerning it?” Ibid. . _____________ STEP SIX -- Pray Daily With A Prayer Partner! . Christ sent His disciples out two by two. Therefore we should find a prayer partner or partners. Christ, says, If two of you agree on earth concerning anything that they ask, it will be done for them by My Father in heaven. For where two or three are gathered together in My name, I am there in the midst of them.” Matthew 18:19-20. Christ sent His disciples out two by two. And He called the twelve to Himself, and began to send them out two by two. Mark 6:7 . THE BASIS OR FOUNDATION OF CHRISTIAN OUTREACH IS THE FORMATION OF SMALL COMPANIES OF PRAYER WARRIORS WHO PRAY AND SHARE, PRAY AND SHARE! . “Why do not two or three meet together and plead with God for the salvation of some special one, and then for still another? . . . The formation of small companies as a basis of Christian effort has been presented to me by One who cannot err.” – Testimonies vol. 7 page 21. The word basis is a synonym for foundation. . It is essential that “every believer” have a partner that he or she can pray with daily. Often, because of distance the telephone is a wonderful way to pray together about the people, whose lives you have touched or will touch that day. Repeat God’s “exceedingly great and precious promises as you pray for the Holy Spirit. Ask Christ to fill your own life with His Spirit, the lives of your family, and those you meet that day. . _____________ STEP SEVEN -- Exercise Your Faith! Distribute God’s Word, His Tracts! . God will use you to impart courage, faith, and energy to others - As you share Gods promises and plan of salvation through tracts and books you are imparting Gods courage, faith . . . and energy into the lives of those who read, accept, and believe His word, His promises. God has placed His power in His Word, His promises. Share His promises, His power with others and it will return to you as one of the greatest blessings of life! Ministry of Healing, page 122. . One day a friend of mine was walking along the beach and noticed a boy. He picked something up and threw into the ocean. My friend walked over to the boy and asked, “What are you doing?” The boy said, “I’m throwing starfish back into the ocean. The tide is going out and if I don’t throw them back, they’ll die.” My friend looked at the thousands of starfish and said “Don’t you realize there are many miles of beach and thousands of starfish? You can’t make a difference! The boy listened, bent over, picked up another starfish, and threw it back into the ocean. He, then, smiling at my friend and said “I made a difference for that one.” . SCATTER THE LEAFLETS OF LIGHT EVERYWHERE! . It is both a duty and a privilege to carry “a package” of God’s tracts with us wherever we go and “hand out as” we “have opportunity.” In His judgment, God will judge us; not only by the evil we avoided, but also by good we could have done and failed to do if we neglect to follow His simple Plan of witnessing.
