Saturday, September, Seventh Teams Announced for 2013 Tournament – July 29, 2013Posted in: Home The best 7s players in Canada will be battle it out in front of Victoria fans and national team coaches on September 7th at the Victoria 7s. They will be joined by two top teams from the USA and the Barbados National team. National team coaches will welcome the opportunity to see Canada 1, Canada 2 and the Maple Leafs battle it out as selections for the upcoming iRB series will be on the line. There’s more than national team selection to battle for as each team will want to capture the $5,000 top prize. Second prize is $3,000 and third prize is $2,000. The Edmonton Elite team entered as the Lionheart Reps will want to showcase their talent and knock off the Canada rep sides, the same holds true for the BC Reps who will made up of players from the BC Premier league. The USA Falcons will fly in and make a case for their development program. The Old Puget Sound Beach (OPSB) 7s team is top level and made the USA 7s club final tournament this year. They also feature top names like former NFL player Miles Craigwell and 7s superstar Waisale Serevi.
