SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING for HEAVY RAINFALL, for people in the North East Pastoral and parts of the Flinders districts. Large thunderstorms are evident on satellite imagery between Lake Eyre and Moomba. Further thunderstorm development is expected this afternoon. Some of these are likely to be severe and produce heavy rainfall that may lead to flash flooding. Locations which may be affected include Leigh Creek, Moomba, Hawker, Arkaroola, Marree and Olary. The State Emergency Service advises that people should: * Dont drive, ride or walk through flood water. * Keep clear of creeks and storm drains. * Stay indoors, away from windows, while storms are nearby. The next warning is due to be issued by 5:15 pm.
