SEVERE WEATHER BULLETIN NUMBER FOURTEEN TROPICAL CYCLONE WARNING: TYPHOON GLENDA (RAMMASUN) Issued at 11:00 p.m., Wednesday, 16 July 2014 Typhoon Glenda has maintained its strength and continues to move in a west northwest direction, away from the country. Location of Center: (as of 10:00 p.m.) 270 km West of Zambales Coordinates: 15.4°N, 117.5°E Strength: Maximum sustained winds of 140 kph near the center and gustiness of up to 170 kph. Movement: Forecast to move West Northwest at 24 kph. Forecast Positions/Outlook: Thursday morning: 750 km West Northwest of Dagupan City or outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) tomorrow morning. Public Storm Warning Signal PSWS Luzon Visayas Mindanao #1 (winds of 30 - 60 kph is expected in atleast 36 hours) Zambales, Bataan, and Pangasinan None None Public Storm Warning Signals elsewhere are now lowered. Fishing boats and other small seacrafts are advised not to venture out into the western seaboard of Visayas. The public and the Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (DRRMC) concerned are advised to take appropriate actions and watch for the next bulletin to be issued at 5 AM tomorrow.
