SEVERE WEATHER UPDATE - SATURDAY AM: Heres an updated look at the timing of the storms by early Sunday morning (and during the overnight hours tonight). Remember, this is just one computer model view, but it matches up pretty well with our forecast, so thats why Im showing it to you now. THREATS: this is a marginal severe weather setup for us, so were not anticipating any widespread severe weather. As the line comes through, some storms along the line will have some gusty winds, perhaps capable of damage. An even smaller number of those storms - if any at all - have the potential to produce a brief, spin-up tornado. Again this threat is not very high, but it isnt zero, so its worth a mention. WHAT TO DO: As with any severe weather event, two things - have a way to get watch and warning information overnight tonight (hopefully a weather radio or similar app on your smartphone), and have a severe weather plan if a warning is issued. Thats it! Its a threat weve seen many, many times before - and several times this winter already, and nothing to panic over.
