Synoptic Situation: Thunderstorms and areas of heavy rain, which may lead to flash flooding, are expected to continue in the warning area this afternoon and evening. Currently, the heaviest rain is occurring in the southern Wide Bay and Burnett district north of Kingaroy, and about the southern Gold Coast where recent hourly falls have peaked around 30mm. Heavier rain may redevelop later this afternoon or evening.
