SFRSs Aviemore crew took part in a fun run around the Macdonald Aviemore Highland Resort and raised over £100 for the Speyside Trust at Badaguish, a centre which helps people with disabilities enjoy outdoor activities. The event was the curtain raiser for the Aviemore Half Marathon and 10k. Blaze Bear (SFRS Fitness Adviser Ali Page) stole the show when he joined in with the warm up and then ran round the course hi-fiving youngsters along the route. He then raced them to the finish. Three of the Aviemore crew also took part by completing the course in full breathing apparatus. There was a great turn out from the local community. The event also provided crews with an opportunity to hand out Home Fire Safety Visit cards and encourage locals and visitors to the area to contact the number and arrange a free visit.
