SGC Silent Auction The Garden Club’s Silent Auction will be held Saturday, November 9th, 7:00 PM at the Snohomish Senior Cen-ter. It will be a lively evening with hors d’oeuvres, beer, wine, sparkling cider, coffee and, of course, great company. We’ll end our evening with a fun “Dessert Dash”. Now is the time to donate exciting items for the auction. We appreciate all the wonderful things we’ve received in the past, so keep them coming. AND I’d like to throw out a few more ideas for contribu-tions to help this event become a major success…….maybe a certificate for a cord of wood delivered, yards of compost or soil or gravel, a dessert delivered to their home once a month, gutter cleaning, house clean-ing, transmission service, oil change, etc. Think of places people might like to go…..a weekend at a summer house or condo, scenic flight at Harvey’s Airfield, balloon ride, go-cart racing, horseback riding, carriage ride, entrance to the zoo for four, etc. How about “theme baskets”….for the movie-goer, the dog or cat lover, the gardener, the music lover; you get the idea. Be creative!! Get an auction donation sheet at the meeting, Monday 9-9 at the Snohomish Cenior Center.
