SHAMANIC YOGA: My yoga session today was interesting. I dont have a set routine, so I just sort of stand there until something gets me started. Today I did a kind of power pose, just to get the body into the mood. I happened to be facing east. Immediately, Apollo the Sun God, the East of my Medicine Wheel, took control of my body. I was hooked into his sigil on my wall. He put me through some contortions, genuflections and postures, bending and stiffening, until he released me and I stepped into position to face South. My body got into a different mood, and then I shouted, I AM! I AM! I AM! I AM!, four shouts, and all my energies went out from me into the South Wheel. I couldnt figure out who was shouting. Orion is there, and so is Buddha… Then I was turned to the West, and pulled down onto my knees, and was looking at the little altar for Minerva, Goddess of War. Minerva!, I said… and she caused me to do some contortions, and I shouted, I GOT SHIT, MAN! a bunch of times, and then MARGE!, and then, OW!, OW!, OW!, OW!, and then I got up and faced the North, and just sort of said, Huh?? Nothing happened. And then it hit me. I was looking at a lovely Kestrel feather given to me a while ago. KHMET!, I shouted. Khmet was the golden falcon who greeted me at the beginning of my Initiation as a Shaman, after I had moved from Seattle to the banks of the Yakima River to a small mobile home in Ellensburg. He sat on a fence beside me as I was wondering what the hell had happened, and then he served as the guide to my Master Crystal, which had come to me from the San Francisco Earthquake of 89, and had belonged to me in ancient Egypt. As I remembered this, he gave me the answer to a problem I have been having, and then put me in my SHAMAN posture, formed like a glyph or sigil I was gifted with this week. When we were through, something wrapped itself around my left wrist and pulled my arm down along my side. I couldnt figure out what it was. I waited, and played around with it for a while, and then something began to pull on my right wrist, and I shouted, AYNI, which is the foundational principle for all my work, the Qero word for RIGHT RELATIONSHIP, from the works of Alberto Villoldo, and then I shouted, Bonk! Bonk! Bonk! Bonk! and it was over.
