We teach our own State approved curriculum to thoroughly prepare you to carry a loaded weapon and to certify you to apply for your Ohio Concealed Handgun License. This is a TRUE concealed carry course--not a basic recreational pistol shooting course. You will learn how to be safe in carrying and handling a handgun, and you WILL be effective at defensively shooting your handgun from 3 feet to 21 feet. We cover all of the State required topics of gun safety, storage and Ohio laws for justified self-defense. We then go on to introduce you to the 3 elements of winning a fight: Awareness, Preparedness and Tactics. You will fire your own handgun at least 150 times, and work to become comfortable with holstering and drawing from a holster. The focus of the shooting instruction is high stress defensive shooting, and we will instruct you how to establish and maintain the mechanics of effective and safe shooting under stress, which is exactly what will you will be under if you ever have to use your gun defensively. If you want to learn effective defensive shooting, learn from instructors who understand and train in high-stress defensive and security oriented shooting! You will receive an information packet of everything covered in the class portion, and the shooting instruction takes place on our exclusive private CQB training range. Having a private training range enables us to train you exactly the way that we see fit which encompasses many methods which can not be performed at any public or backyard range. 150 rounds minimum.
