SHARE TO HELP.. You can never plan ahead with how outreach days will go. We received an urgent call from a woman living out in Shirley that needed help for her dog right away. Thor is a 7 year old Rottweiler. It is very clear he has Cancer in his right hind leg. His nail has already fallen off and the tissue is dying. It is spreading rapidly up his leg. The owner brought Thor to a veterinarian already but cannot continue to afford the high cost of caring for a sick dog. His owner is surrendering him to us immediately and we are rushing him to a hospital. He will need X-rays and likely a leg amputation. Thor is living outside because her kids are allergic.
